“内外结合”的有机整体观——南开大学博士生导师王立新教授访谈

【摘要】：文章是对南开大学文学院王立新教授的访谈,涉及希伯来文学研究、外国文学研究方法、外国文学史的编写及青年教师成长方面的话题。王立新教授认为,希伯来文学研究与通常所说的圣经文学研究并不能简单地等同为一个研究领域,前者需要在希伯来自身的历史文化传统语境中展开,后者一般则被置于基督教历史文化的论域中进行。在外国文学研究的方法上,他认同"内外结合"的研究方法,反对将文学研究作为普泛式的文化研究,坚持文学既拥有自身的疆界,又是在一定的时代精神、历史文化土壤中产生,需要在跨学科视域中予以深入讨论的基本立场,主张以形式诗学与文化诗学有机结合的批评方法,在有效认识文学文本的艺术世界如何被建构的基础上合乎逻辑地揭示其丰富的文化意蕴。关于外国文学史,他主张要更重视世界文学发展过程中东西方文学的交流和相互影响,特别是20世纪以来的文学史书写,更要注意打破以往东西方文学二分的认识模式,并且要警惕将文学研究变为某种文化批评理论的注脚。
[Abstract]:This article is an interview with Professor Wang Lixin of the School of Arts of Nankai University. It deals with the topics of Hebrew literature research, foreign literature research methods, the compilation of foreign literary history and the growth of young teachers. Professor Wang Lixin believes that the study of Hebrew literature and the study of biblical literature, commonly known as biblical literature, cannot simply be regarded as a field of study. The former needs to be carried out in the context of Hebrew's own historical and cultural traditions. The latter is generally placed in the domain of Christian history and culture. On the method of foreign literature research, he agreed with the research method of "combination of internal and external", opposed to regard literary research as a universal cultural study, and insisted that literature not only has its own boundaries, but also has a certain spirit of the times. In the soil of history and culture, the basic standpoint that needs to be discussed in depth in the interdisciplinary field of view, and the criticism method of organic combination of formal poetics and cultural poetics is advocated. Based on the effective understanding of how the artistic world of literary texts is constructed, it logically reveals its rich cultural implications. With regard to the history of foreign literature, he advocated that more attention should be paid to the exchange and mutual influence of Eastern and Western literature in the course of the development of world literature, especially to the writing of literary history since the 20th century. And we should be on guard to turn literary research into the footnotes of some theory of cultural criticism.
