《指匠情挑》中莫德的心路历程解读

萨拉·沃特斯是英国一名备受瞩目的现代作家,以创作维多利亚时代为背景和塑造女同性恋角色而见长。迄今为止除了有献给父母的《小小陌生人》外,她的重要作品或多或少都与同性恋主题有关。此外,她也在许多刊物上发表关于性别、性和历史方面的文章。尽管沃特斯的作品大多涉及比较边缘的文学题材,但却获奖无数,她曾三次入围布克奖,并被格兰塔杂志选为“20位当代最好的英语作家”之一。而《指匠情挑》作为沃特斯的代表作之一,通过莫德与苏珊这两位女主人公不同的视角,交替讲述了成长经历完全不同但又有千丝万缕联系的两个女孩之间爱恨交织的故事。论文主要分为三大部分:第一部分为绪论,包括关于作者萨拉·沃特斯及其作品的相关介绍、国内外文献综述以及对论文框架的阐述。第二部分为论文主体部分,由四章组成。第一章为理论基础,主要介绍的是弗洛伊德精神分析的起源、发展,以及弗洛伊德精神分析理论内涵:人格结构理论、本能理论和自我防御机制。第二章运用人格结构理论对莫德失衡的人格结构发展进行剖析,并通过莫德自我、本我与超我之间的冲突反映出莫德在自由与爱情之间抉择的内心挣扎全过程。第三章对莫德的生存本能与死亡本能体现进行分析,在生死本能的较量之下...
