《恶棍来访》的叙事时空解读

　　詹妮弗·伊根是美国后现代著名女作家。她在写作手法上即借鉴了传统写作技巧,又有所突破和创新,从而使她的作品极具想象力和创造力。伊根凭借她在2010年创作的实验小说《恶棍来访》获得了普利策文学奖。作品中她用恶棍意指时间,表现了一群人在时间考验下经历的打击和磨难。通过这些人物的经历,伊根表达了她的观点:时间是一个残暴的恶棍,对任何人都不留情面。时间残忍的剥夺了人们的青春、家庭、爱情和梦想。本文运用叙事学理论中的叙事时间和空间理论来研究《恶棍来访》中的叙事时空特色。在叙事时间方面,本文运用热奈特的理论从非时序性的叙事顺序,非等时性的叙事时距和不同的叙事频率三方面分析了小说的叙事时间特色。伊根通过对叙事时间策略的灵活运用,揭示了人物命运,反映了人物不同的时间态度。此外,时间和空间是相互依存,密不可分的。在叙事空间方面,本文参考了加斯东·巴什拉、米克·巴尔、亨利·詹姆斯、麦克·克朗等人的理论,分析了小说的物理空间,心理空间和文化空间。故事空间的变化推动了故事情节的发展,见证了人物成长和改变。最后,结合前面两部分对叙事时空的分析,进而从时间的空间性和空间的时间性两方面研究叙事时空的关系。叙事时间碎片...
