《都柏林人》人际意义研究

Halliday提出了系统功能语法中三大元功能:概念功能、人际功能和语篇功能。根据Halliday,人际意义源于人际功能,可以概括如下:我们用语言与他人交往,建立和保持关系,用语言影响他人的行为,用语言表达自己对世界的看法,并试图改变他人的态度和行为。这种更强调语言的人际的、变化的和可商议的意义已经引起广大语言学者的关注,对文学作品中人际意义的研究也变得显著。《都柏林人》（Dubliners）是爱尔兰著名小说家詹姆斯·乔伊斯（James Joyce,18821941）的一部短篇小说集。该小说集出版于一个世纪以前,至今仍受到许多学者的关注。语料取材于《都柏林人》的论文、专著不断涌现,但是多数聚焦于其文体方面的研究。本文以Halliday系统功能语法的人际意义为理论框架,对《都柏林人》人际意义的两个主要实现方式（语气、情态）进行功能分析,探讨其在整部小说集中如何帮助实现人际功能。基于Halliday的系统功能语法中人际意义的理论基础,本文探讨了都柏林人的人际意义的实现,目的是扩大该小说集的研究范围。运用语言学的原则来描述和分析都柏林人,目的是换一个角度来重新诠释这部小...
