【摘要】：佐拉·尼尔·赫斯顿是美国哈莱姆文艺复兴时期的作家。她的长篇小说《苏旺尼的六翼天使》(1948)第一次将白人作为主人公,自出版以来,该小说备受争议并被众多学者忽视。通过分析该小说中的幽默和音乐,本文旨在探索二者在人际关系尤其是跨种族交际中的积极作用,并揭示赫斯顿的文化立场。凭借小说《他们眼望上苍》与其作品中大量的幽默、方言和民俗,赫斯顿在非裔美国文学历史中占据着重要的一席,并对后辈黑人女性作家如爱丽丝·沃克有着深刻的影响。《苏旺尼的六翼天使》继承了赫斯顿作品中的幽默传统,并试图用幽默来调解各种冲突和矛盾。此外,黑人音乐作为非裔美国文化的珍贵遗产,在与白人主流文化的碰撞过程中,逐渐成为整个美国文化不可分割的一部分。该小说中,黑人音乐是文化融合的象征,打破了不同种族间的壁垒,将黑白两种文化及两族人民紧紧联系在一起。全文共分五章,第一章引言部分简单介绍了赫斯顿的生平及作品,回顾相关文学评论,阐明本研究的理论依据、研究问题及论证步骤。第二章关注女主人公在不同人生阶段对幽默的不同理解,侧重分析缺乏幽默给女主人公带来的消极影响,从反面论证幽默在人际交往和生活中的重要作用。第三章聚焦有幽默感的男主人公如何运用幽默巧妙地化解各种尴尬与冲突、与黑人建立良好的关系。第四章主要分析黑人音乐,尤其是爵士乐,如何成为黑人与白人互动的桥梁以及黑白两种文化的纽带。最后一章总结了前四章的内容,并得出以下结论:《苏旺尼的六翼天使》中幽默和音乐冲破了来自不同阶层的人之间的界限,由此表达了赫斯顿对社会平等与和谐的渴望。
[Abstract]:Zola Nell Heston is a Harlem Renaissance writer. Her novel, "the Six-winged Angel of Suwani" (1948. The novel is controversial and ignored by many scholars. By analyzing the humor and music in the novel, this paper aims to explore the positive role of the two in interpersonal relations, especially in interracial communication. And reveals Heston's cultural position. With the novel their eyes looking at God and the great amount of humor, dialects and folklore in his works, Heston occupies an important place in the history of African-American literature. And has had a profound impact on older black female writers such as Alice Walker. "Suwani's Six-winged Angel" inherits the tradition of humor in Herston's works and tries to reconcile conflicts and contradictions with humor. Black music, as a precious heritage of African-American culture, has gradually become an integral part of the whole American culture in the process of collision with the mainstream white culture. In this novel, black music is the symbol of cultural integration. It breaks down the barriers between different races and ties black and white cultures and peoples together. The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces briefly the life and works of Heston, and reviews the relevant literary reviews. The second chapter focuses on the heroine's different understanding of humor in different stages of life, focusing on the negative impact of lack of humor on the heroine. The third chapter focuses on how the humorous hero uses humor to defuse all kinds of embarrassment and conflict. Chapter 4th analyzes how black music, especially jazz, serves as a bridge between black and white and links black and white cultures. The last chapter summarizes the contents of the first four chapters. The following conclusions are drawn: humor and music break through the boundary between people from different classes in "six Angels of Suwani", which expresses Heston's desire for social equality and harmony.
