【摘要】：弗朗西斯·斯科特·基·菲茨杰拉德是美国20年代被誉为“爵士时代发言人”和“迷惘一代”的最杰出代表作家之一。1925年出版的《了不起的盖茨比》享有极高声誉,被称为”美国小说从亨利·詹姆斯以来迈出的第一步”,是经得起时光考验的名著之一,被评选为美国最杰出的十二部小说之一。总的来说,国内外研究主要集中于作者自身与小说创作间的联系,主题和叙事技巧等方面的研究,但是很少有就现实对美国梦的背叛进行批判的。因此,本文将着眼论证“现实”——喧嚣年代的社会现实、盖茨比的理想主义和盲目追求以及黛西的物质主义和冷漠心态的共同作用——导致了小说中美国梦的破产。论文分为五个部分。第一章简要介绍文学成就和这部小说的文学价值,本课题研究的意义,文献综述和研究方法。第二章讲述美国梦的含义和历史以及爵士时代的社会背景。第三章探讨了盖茨比梦想的内容和成因。他希望通过财富获取社会地位来挽回黛西的爱情。第四章从爵士时代的社会背景及其他社会因素如盖茨比理想爱情的目标及其自身的盲目来分析美国梦的失败。第五章结论得出本课题的研究意义。
[Abstract]:Francis Scott Fitzgerald is one of the most prominent American writers of the 1920s as the "spokesman of the Jazz Age" and "the lost Generation." the Great Gatsby, published in 1925, enjoys a high reputation. Known as the first step in American Fiction since Henry James, is one of the most time-tested masterpieces, and has been named one of the twelve most outstanding novels in the United States. Domestic and foreign studies mainly focus on the relationship between the author and the novel creation, the theme and narrative techniques, etc., but there is little criticism of the betrayal of the American dream in reality. This paper will focus on the demonstration of "reality"-the social reality of the noisy era, Gatsby's idealism and blind pursuit, as well as Daisy's materialism and apathy, led to the bankruptcy of the American dream in the novel. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first chapter briefly introduces the literary achievements and the literary value of the novel. The significance of this research, Chapter 2 describes the meaning and history of the American dream and the social background of the jazz age. Chapter 3 discusses the contents and causes of Gatsby's dream. He hopes to regain his social status through wealth. Chapter four analyzes the failure of the American Dream from the social background of the Jazz Age and other social factors such as the goal of Gatsby's ideal love and its own blindness.
