英国小说《砖巷》中混杂身份的建构

【摘要】：《砖巷》是孟加拉裔英籍女作家莫妮卡·阿里的处女作以及代表作。小说通过对一位普通孟加拉移民女性,纳兹奈恩在伦敦砖巷日常生活的描写,向读者全面展示了英国孟加拉移民的真实生活；同时揭示了东西方的文化冲突以及西方穆斯林散居人民作为“他者”的努力与挣扎。《砖巷》是第一部聚焦英国孟加拉移民生存现状的写实小说,因其高超的写作技巧和蕴含的深意,赢得了2003年度英国布克奖提名。全球化进程下,身份问题已经成为后殖民文学研究和文化研究一个不可回避的话题。而混杂身份也已成为后殖民主义理论与思潮中一个常见的名词。而由于《砖巷》展示了后9/11背景下孟加拉移民在后殖民伦敦的生活现状,从身份构建的角度分析这部小说十分合适。《砖巷》自从其2003年发表以来,一直吸引着学者的目光。目前国内还没有文章论述《砖巷》中的混杂身份建构问题,因此本文将以霍米·巴巴的混杂性理论为论述基础,来分析《砖巷》中三为主要人物的不同文化身份的建构过程。通过分析比较,本文旨在揭示他们不同的混杂文化身份的构建,以及造成这种不同的原因。本文包含以下五部分：第一章为概论,包括研究意义、研究对象以及文章总体结构。第二章展示了文章的理论框架以及《砖巷》国内外研究现状。第三章是应用混杂性理论,讨论了《砖巷》中主要人物——纳兹奈恩、查努和卡里姆——其各自不同的混杂文化身份的构建。第四章主要论述不同人物得到不同混杂身份建构结果的原因。最后一章为总结章节。主要总结了文章所取得成果以及研究的不足之处。
[Abstract]:Brick Lane is the first work and masterpiece of Bangladeshi British writer Monica Ali. The novel depicts the daily life of an ordinary Bangladeshi immigrant woman, Naznairn, in the brick lane of London, and shows the readers the real life of the British Bengali immigrants. At the same time, it reveals the cultural conflict between the East and the West and the efforts and struggles of the Muslim diaspora in the West as "the other." Brick Lane is the first realistic novel focusing on the survival of British Bangladeshi immigrants. He won the 2003 British Booker Award for his excellent writing skills and implications. In the process of globalization, identity has become an unavoidable topic in post-colonial literature and cultural studies. Mixed identity has become a common term in postcolonial theory and ideological trend. Because Brick Lane shows the living conditions of Bangladeshi immigrants in post-colonial London in the background of 9 / 11, it is very appropriate to analyze this novel from the perspective of identity construction. Brick Lane has attracted the attention of scholars since its publication in 2003. At present, there is no article on the construction of hybrid identity in Brick Lane, so this paper will analyze the construction process of different cultural identities of the main characters in Brick Lane III on the basis of Homey Baba's theory of confounding. Through analysis and comparison, this paper aims to reveal the construction of their different mixed cultural identities and the causes of these differences. This paper includes the following five parts: the first chapter is an overview, including the significance of the study, research objects and the overall structure of the article. The second chapter shows the theoretical framework of the article and the current research situation at home and abroad. The third chapter discusses the construction of the different cultural identities of the main characters in Brick Lane-Naznairn, Chanu and Karim-by using the hybrid theory. The fourth chapter mainly discusses the reasons why different characters get different mixed identities. The last chapter is a summary chapter. This paper summarizes the achievements of the article and the shortcomings of the research.
