严歌苓作品中的美国人形象

【摘要】：严歌苓是著名的海外华人作家之一，她在作品中展示了丰富复杂的美国人形象，而目前学术界对这方面的研究还相对薄弱。本文将结合美国社会的现实和历史，以比较文学形象学理论为依据，结合作者跨文化双重写作的背景，对严歌苓作品中美国人形象进行阐述分析。本文首先叙述了对严歌苓作品的研究现状，对本文中出现的相关概念进行了界定。以法国学者达尼埃尔亨利·巴柔对“异”的三种基本态度为参照，，对华文文学中已有的美国形象进行了关注，从而为严歌苓作品中的美国人形象的讲述设置了一个宽广的背景。其次，进而集中阐述了严歌苓作品中出现的美国人形象，关照了极易被忽略的孤独的边缘者、自由的追求者、理性的实用者以及仁爱的救赎者，展示出作者对于现代美国人的深远关注。在详细介绍了严歌苓小说中美国人形象之后，从作者具有的双重文化背景的角度出发，对小说中美国人形象的成因进行了分析。探析了双重文化背景下严歌苓对于现代美国形象及美国文化认同与反思，主要包含了对美国社会中孤独落寞情绪的同情，对自由平等理念的称赞，还有对实用理性品质的褒贬和对仁爱的救赎精神的推崇。与此同时，既审视了现代的美国形象与文化，也对祖国文化中的传统因素给予了关照。严歌苓带着这样的独特审视完成了对美国人形象的塑造。除此之外，本文进一步从严歌苓本身的独特人生经历以及严歌苓所具有的人道主义精神等层面对美国人形象的成因进行了分析。通过此次研究，希望能够更加深刻地了解到华人作家对于美国人形象及美国文化的关注。
[Abstract]:Yan Geling is one of the famous overseas Chinese writers. She presents a rich and complex American image in her works, but the current academic research on this aspect is relatively weak. Combining the reality and history of American society, based on the theory of comparative literature image and the background of the author's cross-cultural dual writing, this paper expounds and analyzes the American image in Yan Geling's works. This paper first describes the research status of Yan Geling's works, and defines the related concepts in this paper. Referring to the three basic attitudes of Danielle Henri Barrou, a French scholar, to "different", the author pays attention to the existing American images in Chinese literature. Thus set a broad background for the narration of the American image in Yan Geling's works. Secondly, it focuses on the American image in Yan Geling's works, taking care of the lonely marginal, the free pursuer, the rational practical and the benevolent redeemer. Shows the author's profound concern for modern Americans. After introducing the American image in Yan Geling's novels in detail, the author analyzes the causes of the American image in the novel from the angle of the author's double cultural background. This paper probes into Yan Geling's recognition and reflection on modern American image and American culture under the background of double culture, which mainly includes sympathy for loneliness and loneliness in American society and praise for the concept of freedom and equality. There is also the praise and derogation of the practical rational quality and the redeeming spirit of benevolence. At the same time, it not only examines the modern American image and culture, but also takes care of the traditional factors in the motherland culture. Yan Geling with such a unique examination completed the shaping of the image of the United States. In addition, this paper further analyzes the causes of the American image from the unique life experience of Yan Geling and the humanist spirit of Yan Geling. Through this study, I hope to know more about Chinese writers' concern about American image and American culture.
