成长的三棱镜——《地海三部曲》的多重叙事模式

【摘要】:美国当代作家厄休拉·勒·魁恩的幻想小说《地海三部曲》由三部长篇《巫师》《古墓》和《彼岸》组成。这三部小说在人物、时间和情节上相互独立又相互关联,每一部聚焦于一个年轻人的成长。三部曲采用传统的第三人称全知视角,但是每本书的叙述焦点/视点因为主人公的不同而不同。由是,三部曲的三个不同叙事视角让三部小说构成了一个三棱镜,三个主人公和三个主题互相映衬、互相折射、互相补充,看似简单平淡的表面叙事之下是更复杂的多层次、多角度叙事,凸显了人物性格的发展、故事的叙述层次和三部曲的成长主题。
