从文体学角度分析《哈利波特与魔法石》

【摘要】：1989年,24岁的J.K.罗琳在从曼彻斯特开往伦敦的火车上,透过车窗看到了一个黑头发、瘦弱的戴眼镜的小巫师正向她微笑。这一幕深深地印在了她的脑海里,她灵光一现,甚至在没有纸笔的情况下就开始勾画这个小男孩的故事——哈利波特就这样与世人见面了:“大难不死的男孩”——11岁,杂草般的乱发,绿色的眼睛,圆圆的眼镜,闪电形的伤疤印在额前。自1997年《哈利波特与魔法石》出版发行到现在,《哈利波特》系列小说迅速风靡全球,波特狂遍布了全世界,引发一股新的文学热潮,华纳兄弟也将这一系列故事搬上银幕。狂热的“哈利波特”现象引来了多方面专家和学者长期且集中的关注。以往研究《哈利·波特与魔法石》的学者们从多角度多方面对小说进行了分析和学术探讨,他们大多把目光投射在其文学翻译和译本的对比上,很少关注到语言学和文体学的层面,对文学作品自身的文体特征方面的研究十分欠缺。本文以文体学为理论基础,通过运用文学文体学分析的方法,试图从语言的表层结构和深层结构分析文本的具体特征,让读者深刻体会罗琳在创作时的良苦用心,发掘语言背后的涵义,领略文章所表达的思想感情,欣赏各种文体技巧展示出的作品的文学魅力。本文主要由引言、正文和结论三部分构成,主要内容如下:引言部分简要介绍了文体学的历史发展和与本文相关的理论,阐述了《哈利波特与魔法石》的作品特点,分析了迄今为止国内外对该书的研究结论及观点,提出本论文的研究目的、方法和创新观点。论文的正文部分有三章。第一章首先简要介绍小说及其作者、该小说的影响力,以此说明选择文本的原因。其次,详细阐述所运用的文体学相关概念和三种文体观。文体学是使用语言学的手段来分析文学作品,同时借用一些文学批评中的观点加以运用,从而对文本进行详尽的分析,使跨文化不同语言的读者对文本理解更加深刻。本文采用了王守元教授关于文体学的观点:文体即变异、文体即选择、文体即前景化。关于文本的文体分析会以定性研究的手法为主,辅以部分定量研究分析。文学作品的复杂性决定了其美学意境。罗琳出于作品的一致性的考量,避免偶发性语言变异,使语言的前景现象向着同一方向发展。最后本章阐述表层结构和深层结构的文体分析方法,从语言规律、语句和词汇选择等方面分析本小说文本的写作风格和特点。第二章将从表层结构的角度对小说文本进行分析,包括语音变异、词汇变异、笔体变异、语法变异和过分规则化。通过对该小说文本的表层现象分析,展现了作者在小说中使用的非常规语言形式和这些非常规形式所产生的文学效果。在小说中,罗琳通过使用语音变异,从侧面展示了话语人的文化背景、心情状态(比如海格的言语习惯可以体现他的与众不同)等;罗琳通过合成法创造了很多新词,它们的词根所具有的含义,对于合成后的词语有着直白的或者暗含的意义,为小说带来了更深层的意义;而多样的笔体变异,使小说不再如以往一般的单调,让读者在阅读过程中可以随笔体的变化而感受到时空的变幻;语法的变异则使读者可以很容易的了解某句话中作者想要强调的关键点。此外,本章还就文本中的过分规则化现象进行分析,包括语音和句法两方面。第三章将从语言的深层结构分析其变异现象并简要介绍了魔幻现实主义小说及其重要特征——象征手法,以及分析了《哈利波特与魔法石》中的象征意象及其对小说的内涵影响。在小说中,罗琳熟练运用了包括隐喻、夸张、讽刺等深层的文体变异,并且大量使用了象征符号。罗琳创造了一个魔法世界,并从多方面多角度将其与现实社会进行对比映射,其中包括相同之处(银行既存在于魔法世界,也存于现实世界;考试对于每个世界的孩子都是让人头疼的事情),也有不同之处(德思礼夫妇一直试图扼杀哈利的魔法天赋,而霍格沃兹却努力将每个孩子的天赋发挥到极致)。通过这些对比,作者完美的运用魔幻现实主义对现实社会进行了讽刺。此外,罗琳还使用了许多象征符号,如哈利的故事与经典的圣经式故事模式相一致;猫、魔杖、隐身斗篷等具有象征意义的符号的使用,暗示了作者的写作风格与内心世界。而象征符号的使用,更是魔幻现实主义作品的重大特征,因而笔者在关于《哈利波特》系列小说是否为魔幻现实主义风格作品的争议中,是持肯定观点的。论文的最后一部分为结论,笔者将对于研究结果及其现实意义进行阐述,并将就研究局限性及成因进行分析总结。通过分析《哈利波特与魔法石》中的语言现象,本文将罗琳在写作过程中使用的文体学手法进行归类分析,将小说的文体风格加以阐释。上述分析的成果对于未来的相关研究必有助益。本文的作者通过对《哈利波特与魔法石》一书的研究,结合语言文体学的理论知识对小说语言进行深入分析,不仅提高了对该书文体的理解程度,也在研究罗琳的写作风格的过程中,增强了对于不同语言环境和语言行为目的下的语言选择敏感度。如果能够将本文所采用的深浅结构分析模式运用于翻译中,会使得译者更准确的鉴赏、分析和理解翻译作品,会增强鉴别语言的能力,提高对外国语言文化的欣赏水平,进而提高译者的翻译效率。最后本章阐述了本文的研究结论的不足之处,其中既包括了理论基础中可能存在的片面性和局限性,也包括主观原因。

This article is mainly composed of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The main contents are as follows: the introduction briefly introduces the history of stylistics. With the theory related to this article, the paper expounds the characteristics of the works of Harry Potter and the philosopher stone, analyzes the research conclusions and views on the book at home and abroad so far, and puts forward the purpose, methods and innovative views of this paper. The first chapter of the thesis is three chapters. First, the author briefly introduces the novel and its author, the influence of the novel, This is to explain the reasons for the selection of text. Secondly, it expounds the related concepts of stylistics and three types of stylistic views. This article uses professor Wang Shouyuan's view of Stylistics: style is variation, style is choice, style is foreground. The stylistic analysis of text will be based on qualitative research, supplemented by some quantitative analysis. The complexity of literary works determines its aesthetic conception. Rowling is in accordance with the consistency of the works. This chapter expounds the stylistic analysis of the surface structure and the deep structure, and analyzes the writing style and characteristics of the text from the language rules, the sentences and the vocabulary selection. The second chapter will make the novel text from the surface structure angle. Line analysis, including speech variation, lexical variation, pen variation, grammatical variation and overrule. Through the analysis of the surface phenomena of the novel, the author shows the literary effects of the unconventional language and these unconventional forms used by the author in the novel.
