《最后的九月》的女性主义叙述学解读

【摘要】:女性主义叙事学的开创人是美国学者兰瑟。1981年普林斯顿大学出版社出版了她的《叙事行为:小说中的视角》。该书率先将叙事作品的形式研究与女性主义相结合,是后经典叙事学的一个重要分支。也是西方后经典叙事学最前沿的理论。女性主义叙事学主要以女性作家创作的作品为研究对象,将性别和语境结合起来阐释作品中叙事形式的主题意义探讨研究对象中的女性权威构建过程。 《最后的九月》是伊丽莎白鲍恩的作品之一。《最后的九月》以英爱战争为背景,讲述了女主人公洛伊斯在父母相继去世后,寄居在叔叔家后发生的故事。从《最后的九月》中我们可以窥见伊丽莎白·鲍恩的女性主义思想。此外,小说的叙述技巧也十分独特。本文即以女性主义叙事学理论为基础对小说《最后的九月》进行研究,分析在这部小说中伊丽莎白·鲍恩的女性主义思想是如何通过独特的叙述技巧反映出来的。除了绪论和结论部分,本论文的主体部分分为四章。 绪论部分简要介绍了作者伊丽莎白·鲍恩,小说《最后的九月》的内容及其国内外研究现状和本论文的创新之处。 第一章是对理论基础一一女性主义叙事学理论的介绍。由于论文将从小说的叙事声音,叙述视角和叙述意象几个角度进行分析,因此这几个叙述学中的术语将会在本章中分别进行阐释。此外,女性主义叙述性与女性主义和叙述学之间的关系也会再这部分进行阐明。 第二章主要研究小说中的叙事声音。研究表明苏珊·兰瑟所说的所有三种叙事声音在这部小说中都有所涉及,但主要采用是个人型叙述声音。因此,本文简要分析了作者型和集体型的叙述声音,重点从两个方面分析洛伊斯的个人型叙述声音,坚毅的性格及内心独白。 第三章主要分析了《最后的九月》的叙事视角,,文中视角转换包括了从第三人称全知视角转换为洛伊斯的有限视角。第三人称全知视角转换为弗朗西的视角以及第三人称全知视角转换为其他人的视角。 第四章试图分析小说中的叙述意象与表达主题之间的关系。伊丽莎白·鲍恩在《最后的九月》中使用了许多的意象。如储物间、雷声、白衬衫等,从这些意象中,可以窥见一些女性主义主题。比如通过储物间意象,作者意图批评父权制社会的残酷。此外这些意象有助于小说中人物思想的表达使其颇为生动。 结论部分结合叙述声音,叙述视角,意象等三个方面分析的结果,探讨《最后的九月》的女性主义叙事特色。
[Abstract]:The originator of feminist narratology was Lanser, an American scholar. In 1981, Princeton University Press published her narrative behavior: perspectives in novels. It is an important branch of post-classical narratology to combine the formal study of narrative works with feminism. It is also the most advanced theory of western post-classical narratology. Feminist narratology mainly takes the works created by female writers as the object of study. It combines gender and context to explain the thematic significance of narrative form in the works and discusses the construction process of female authority in the research object. The Last September is one of Elizabeth Bao En's works. Taking the War between Britain and Ireland as the background, the heroine Lois is told the story of the heroine Lois living in her uncle's house after her parents have died one after the other. From the Last September, we can see Elizabeth Bao En's feminist thought. In addition, the narrative techniques of the novel are also very unique. Based on the feminist narratology theory, this paper studies the novel the Last September, and analyzes how Elizabeth Bao En's feminist thought is reflected through the unique narrative techniques in this novel. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the main part of this paper is divided into four chapters. The introduction briefly introduces the author Elizabeth Bao En, the content of the novel "the Last September", the current research situation at home and abroad and the innovation of this thesis. The first chapter introduces the theoretical basis-feminist narratology theory. Since the thesis will analyze the narrative sound, narrative perspective and narrative image of the novel, the terms in narratology will be explained separately in this chapter. In addition, the relationship between feminism narration and feminism and narratology will also be clarified in this part. The second chapter mainly studies the narrative sound in the novel. The study shows that all three narratives mentioned by Susan Lanser are involved in the novel, but they are mainly personal narrative sounds. Therefore, this paper briefly analyzes the author's and collective narrative sounds, focusing on two aspects: Royce's individual narrative voice, firm personality and inner monologue. The third chapter mainly analyzes the narrative perspective of the Last September, which includes a limited perspective from the third person omniscient perspective to Lois. The third-person omniscient perspective is transformed into Francie's perspective and the third-person omniscient perspective is transformed into that of others. The fourth chapter tries to analyze the relationship between the narrative image and the theme of expression in the novel. Elizabeth Bao En used many images in the Last September. Some feminist themes can be seen from these images, such as storerooms, thunder, white shirts, etc. For example, through storage images, the author intends to criticize the cruelty of patriarchal society. In addition, these images contribute to the expression of characters in the novel to make it quite vivid. The conclusion part discusses the feminist narrative characteristics of the Last September by analyzing the results from three aspects: narrative voice, narrative perspective and image.
