对《南方与北方》的女性主义解读

　　伊丽莎白·盖斯凯尔的《南方与北方》刻画了许多有血有肉、命运多舛的女性形象。有人认为她是男权主义的支持者,也有人认为她是支持女性独立的作家。小说《南方与北方》是她写作生涯中期的作品,是她的代表作之一,论文是对这部小说的女性主义解读。论文首先着重分析小说中的女性人物所受到的肉体创伤,包括最终甚至失去生命的悲惨遭遇。同时也分析处于男性世界中的年轻貌美的女主人公遭受到的精神折磨和痛苦。她被谣言中伤,被代表男性权威的警察盘问,这一切都给她精神上带来巨大的压力。最后分析女主人公对男权社会的反抗,进而成长为一位独立的女性。通过此文揭示在现代社会,男女两性的和谐对构建和谐社会有重要意义。
