战争经历的真实再现 ——从人称视角分析“如何讲好真实的战争故事”和“士兵归乡”

20世纪前半叶在世界范围内发生的一系列战争以及后来的越南战争,对美国人的生活和美国的文学创作产生了深远的影响。战争故事作为现实主义小说的组成部分继而成为美国文学一股重要的力量。战争小说总是注重反映战争这一全新经历给人带来的震惊,总是描写社会角色错位和个人身份危机,总是描写鲜血和屠杀给人造成的震撼。美国当代著名后现代派小说家之一蒂姆·奥布赖恩决定把“他在越南稻田里遭遇的梦魇展现为虚构的故事”,创作了一系列关于越南战争的小说,但他处理的话题都强调那些被迫参加一场不得人心的战争的人所面对的当代困境。C. W.刘易斯认为奥布赖恩的一些越战故事“滑向了聪明的诡计”,因此与关于越战的真实的回忆录不可同日而语。小说作为现代文化景观的载体能够真实地全方位地反映各种人类经验。为此,本论文试图证明,奥布赖恩的“诡计”与直截了当的回忆录相比,能够更加有效地传达他的有关战争的情感和体验,他的越战小说同样是对战争经验的真实再现。论文选取奥布赖恩的短篇小说“如何讲述真实的战争故事”,同海明威的短篇小说“士兵归乡”进行叙述视角运用的比较分析。海明威作为描写战争的艺术大师,深受战争的影响,并因此形成他自己的独特的写作...
