性别身份的困惑—伍尔夫小说《奥兰多》中人物奥兰多的性别操演研究

  美国当代享誉盛名的女性主义理论家朱迪斯·巴特勒认为,性别表达的背后没有性别的本体身份,性别身份形成于持续的操演行为中。性别没有所谓的“内在”本质,性别的“内在”本质服从于性别规范的一系列行为的重复。英国著名女作家弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫1928年出版的传记体小说《奥兰多》是其最有特色的一部作品,塑造了一个不受时间和性别限制的人物奥兰多。这位出生于英国16世纪的贵族青年,经历了由男变女、跨越三百多年的传奇人生。本文基于巴特勒的性别操演性理论,紧扣性别身份意识,通过《奥兰多》中主人公的情感变化和社会境遇定位其性别身份,并分析了奥兰多的异性之爱,同性之情。同时,论文还探讨了由于性别变化,主人公性别身份无法适应相应性别的需求所面临的性别和性别身份的冲突和由此产生的困惑。通过文本分析发现奥兰多运用了性别操演方式来试图规避新性别带来的困扰和麻烦。最终奥兰多进行了身体的铭刻和操演的颠覆,具体来说,运用了变装的方式实现了自我。本文共分为五部分,第一部分是研究背景和研究意义,本文基于身份话题,运用性别操演理论分析身份主题小说《奥兰多》,这是本研究的新颖之处。第二部分是文献综述部分,主要回顾中外方对《奥兰多》的研...
