西方动物小说中动物与人类关系的生态批评解读

文学作品里不乏形形色色的动物形象,而在生态危机愈演愈烈已经严重威胁到人类生活的今天,环保和有关动物保护的主题越来越受到西方学术界关注。于十九世纪七十年代初露端倪的生态批评顺应时代潮流,正发展成后现代的主流文学,它提倡从人类文化中挖掘生态破坏的思想根源,从而找到解决生态危机的真正路子,为人类与自然和谐共处提供理论支持。本文从西方经典动物小说中动物形象与人类关系入手,试用生态批评理论解读文学作品中动物与人类从弱到强,从疏离到紧密的复杂关系,并揭示出受多种文学思潮影响下两者关系的发展变化过程,从中得出动物形象与人类共存,也以其与自然紧密联系的天性制约警示人类,如果继续按人类中心主义生存与生态理论背道而驰,必将受到大自然的报复。本论文由五部分构成。第一部分详细阐释了生态批评理论的产生,发展及在文学领域的表现及最新发展状况,其中主要论述非人类中心主义理论。第二部分对动物小说发展历史做梳理,介绍对动物形象与人类关系这一主题的研究状况,试图梳理出一条明晰的线索说明两者相依存的紧密关系,阐述本文的创新意义。第三,四部分是本文的主体部分,以前现代主义动物小说和现代动物小说为界,选取西方动物小说中典型的动...
