【摘要】：查尔斯·狄更斯是举世闻名的现实主义大师,但他在侦探小说史上的先导性地位还未得到评论界的充分认可。在现代侦探小说萌芽期,狄更斯不仅积极创作侦探小说,也在其社会小说中有意识地嵌入侦探小说故事,其大胆的探索与创新为这一次文类的成熟与定型做出不可小觑的贡献。该论文从写作范式与道德教化两个方面阐述狄更斯与同时代,如埃德加·爱伦·坡,威廉·威尔基·柯林斯及后世侦探小说家,如阿瑟·柯南·道尔,阿加莎·克里斯蒂,P.D.詹姆斯等的亲缘关系。狄更斯在侦探小说写作中展现出非凡的创造性,是名副其实的先驱之一。
