[Abstract]:The World Health Organization's Global TB report 2016 shows that the number of deaths and the incidence of tuberculosis worldwide continue to decline. In 2015, it was estimated that the number of new TB cases worldwide was about 10.4 million. Of these, 5.9 million were male (56%), 3.5 million were female (34%), 1 million were children (10%) [1]. 1.2 million new TB cases were HIV infected (11%). India, Indonesia, China, Nigeria, Pakistan and South Africa accounted for 60 new cases.
