  Niemann-Pick disease type C(NPC) is a fatal, neurovisceral lipid storage disease, neuropathologically characterized by cytoplasmic sequestration of glycolipids in neurons, progressive neuronal loss, neurofibrillary tangles(NFTs) formation, and axonal spheroids(AS).
