从西方科学转向东方文化——重估杜亚泉思想之转折

【摘要】:杜亚泉思想的特殊性,除了他较早提出东西文化二元论及其调和论主张外,则是他早年作为科学启蒙者的角色,对西方文化所持有的极大热情。从表面上看,杜亚泉有一个从科学救国到精神救国、从推崇西方科学到转向东方文化的思想转变过程,就实际而言,在这两个阶段,杜亚泉在物质与精神、科学与政治、体与用、政与教(艺)之间虽然有所侧重,但整体上仍然主张一种有机的互动。完整地勾勒杜亚泉由推崇西方科学转向东方文化的思想历程,并侧重考察他在这一转变前后思想的微妙变化,对于探讨此后循东方文化派路径进一步发扬光大的"新儒家"与由"五四"激进浪潮引发的"革命"走向之间的内在勾连,具有管中窥豹的意义。
[Abstract]:The particularity of Du Yaquan's thought, apart from his earlier proposition of Eastern and Western cultural dualism and its harmony theory, was his early role as a scientific enlightener and his great enthusiasm for western culture.On the face of it, Du Yaquan has a process of ideological transformation from scientific salvation to spiritual salvation, from advocating Western science to oriental culture. In fact, in these two stages, Du Yaquan is in the material and spiritual, scientific and political.Body and use, politics and education (art) although some emphasis, but overall still advocate an organic interaction.He gives a complete outline of Du Yaquan's ideological course from advocating Western science to oriental culture, and focuses on the subtle changes in his thinking before and after this change.It is of great significance to probe into the inner connection between the "Neo-Confucianism" and the "revolution" caused by the radical wave of the May 4th Movement.
