扩散激活模型在高中英语词汇教学中的应用研究

【摘要】：作为语言的三大要素之一,词汇是语言系统赖以存在的支柱。正如英国著名的语言学家D.A.Wilkins曾说:“没有语法,人们不能表达很多东西,但没有词汇,人们就无法表达任何东西”(1972)。如此可见,词汇在语言和语言学习中扮演着极其重要的角色。语义网络是由美国心理学家奎廉在1969年提出的。它的一种模型就是扩散激活模型。该模型假设词汇是在网络中被表征的,其组织像一个由相互连接的节点组成的网络,概念是作为相互联接的链接被储存的。把扩散激活模型应用到词汇教学中,不仅能够展示词汇的动态化、网络化的发展过程,同时将该方法运用到词汇学习中可以更有效地扩大词汇量,并提高学生学习词汇的兴趣。本研究致力于探究将该模型应用到词汇教学中的实际效果,探究学生的词汇量能否有效地扩大,学生的词汇学习兴趣是否有改善。受试者为府谷中学高一年级的108名学生,他们来自两个平行班,一组为实验组,进行扩散激活模型的词汇教学,另一组为控制组,采用传统的词汇教学方法进行教学。本研究采用的工具有测试,问卷和访谈,所收集的数据通过统计软件SPSS13.0分析。研究结果显示扩散激活模型在词汇教学中的两个应用研究问题得到了验证:(1)应用扩散激活模型在词汇教学中是有效的(2)该方法改善了学生学习词汇的兴趣。研究最后提出了一些教学启示。
