撤点并校与农村居民的迁移决策

【摘要】：上世纪90年代以来,我国农村地区的小学数量急剧减少。本文利用2000年和2005年的人口普查和1%人口抽样调查数据以及相关年份的城市层面数据,考察了农村地区学校数量减少对农村居民迁移的影响。实证结果表明,农村地区学校数量的减少显著提高了居民迁出的概率。为了建立两个变量之间的因果关系,我们控制了一系列变量,包括反映地区人口迁移趋势的变量。此外,我们还分性别、分年龄、分不同的迁移类型、分不同的家庭类型(是否有小孩)考察了上述关系。结果表明,那些有小孩的、处于相应年龄段的农村居民对于学校数量的减少更加敏感。
[Abstract]:Since -10s, the number of primary schools in rural areas of our country has decreased dramatically. This paper uses the census data of 2000 and 2005 and the sample survey data of 1% people, as well as the urban level data of relevant years. The effect of the reduction of the number of schools in rural areas on the migration of rural residents is investigated. The empirical results show that the decrease in the number of schools in rural areas significantly increases the probability of residents moving out. In order to establish a causal relationship between the two variables, We control a range of variables, including those that reflect regional migration trends. In addition, we have different types of migration by sex, age, and age. These relationships were examined by different family types (whether there were children or not). The results showed that rural residents with children in the corresponding age group were more sensitive to the reduction in the number of schools.
