语音、语素及字形意识对阅读理解的影响

【摘要】:本研究旨在从发展的角度探讨中国初中生语音、语素、字形意识与英语阅读理解之间的关系。研究主要围绕以下三个研究问题展开:第一、这三种元语言意识呈现出怎样的发展性变化?第二、这三种元语言意识与阅读理解的相关程度如何?第三、这三种元语言意识对阅读理解的贡献如何?本研究以山东省济南市一所初中学校初一和初三两个年级的198名学生为研究对象。用于测量元语言意识的工具包括三份语素意识测验、语音意识测验和字形意识测验各一份。此外,词汇测验采用的是皮博迪图片词汇测验,阅读理解采用的是阅读测验。除语音意识采用一对一的口试形式外,其余测验均为集体施测。使用SPSS 19.0进行数据分析。通过独立样本t检验发现,除字形意识外,其余的元语言意识均呈现发展性变化。接下来的相关分析结果表明,在两个年级中,只有语素意识与阅读理解呈显著相关,此外,两个年级的语音意识和字形意识均呈相关关系。最后,回归分析的结果表明,在对初中生的阅读理解的影响上,语素意识的贡献最大,其次是语音意识。但是,在研究的三个元语言意识中,只有语素意识对阅读理解有预测作用。本研究兼具理论与实践意义。在理论上,此研究有助于更好地理解我国初中生英语阅读理解与语音、语素、字形意识之间的关系。在实践上,鉴于这三种元语言意识或持续或非持续地呈现相关关系,针对如何协调这三种加工过程的训练有助于提高学生的阅读理解能力。与此同时,语素意识,尤其是派生语素意识在教学中应给予足够的重视。
[Abstract]:The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between Chinese junior high school students' phonology, morpheme, glyph awareness and English reading comprehension from the perspective of development. What is the developmental change in the consciousness of these three meta-languages? Second, what is the correlation between the awareness of these three meta-languages and reading comprehension? Third, what is the contribution of these three meta-linguistic consciousness to reading comprehension? In this study, 198 students in Grade 1 and Grade 3 of a junior high school in Jinan City, Shandong Province, were studied. The tools used to measure meta linguistic awareness included three morpheme awareness tests. In addition, the vocabulary test uses Peabody picture vocabulary test, and the reading comprehension test uses the reading test. The other tests were conducted in groups. SPSS 19.0 was used for data analysis. T test of independent samples showed that except for glyph consciousness. The other meta-linguistic awareness showed a developmental change. The following correlation analysis showed that only morpheme awareness was significantly related to reading comprehension in the two grades. The results of regression analysis show that morpheme consciousness contributes the most to junior high school students' reading comprehension, followed by phonological awareness. Of the three meta-linguistic consciousness studied, only morpheme consciousness can predict reading comprehension. This study has both theoretical and practical significance. This study is helpful to better understand the relationship between English reading comprehension and phonological, morpheme and glyph awareness of junior high school students in China. The training of how to coordinate these three processing processes is helpful to improve the students' reading comprehension ability. At the same time, the morpheme consciousness, especially the derived morpheme consciousness, should be paid enough attention to in the teaching.
