母语迁移对高中生英语写作的影响及启示
[Abstract]:In the study of second language acquisition, language transfer is an important factor to be considered. In China, Chinese is our first language, also known as the mother tongue. For Chinese EFL learners, Chinese transfer affects all aspects of language learning. Similarly, the learning of English writing is inevitably influenced by Chinese. Therefore, the present study aims at exploring the influence of Chinese on English writing and how to improve the effectiveness of English writing teaching. Based on language transfer theory, second language writing theory, error analysis and deep shared ability hypothesis, this paper explores the influence of mother tongue on the positive and negative aspects of senior high school students' English writing from the linguistic and non-linguistic levels. The study samples are from three parallel classes in three middle schools in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. The students in the three classes have similar backgrounds and can represent the English writing level of the students of all grades. Data source form: questionnaire, Chinese writing achievement and English writing achievement, writing sample. The method used in this study is the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis. Firstly, the correlation coefficient between Chinese writing achievement and English writing achievement is used to reveal the relationship between Chinese writing ability and English writing ability. Secondly, we try to find out the influence of metacognitive strategies and native language writing strategies on English writing. Finally, this study uses error analysis to analyze the negative effects of mother tongue transfer on language level. Based on the analysis and discussion of the samples, the author finds that the positive influence of mother tongue is mainly at the non-linguistic level, and the negative effect is mainly on the linguistic level. First, from the correlation coefficient between Chinese and English writing scores, the native language writing ability has a positive effect on English writing ability, that is, positive transfer. Secondly, meta-cognitive strategies, Chinese writing strategies and native language thinking have positive effects on English writing. Thirdly, from the errors in writing samples, the negative transfer of mother tongue often occurs in words, sentences, discourse and writing habits, because there are differences in affixes, sentence patterns and discourse patterns between English and Chinese. Based on the above findings, this paper puts forward some enlightenment in the last chapter, such as improving students' Chinese writing ability, paying attention to strategy training and so on.
