武鸣县农村初中英语口语教学现状研究

【摘要】：英语是世界上最主要的通用语言和当今国际交流的重要交际工具。为提高国家的国际竞争力,整体国民素质和国民的国际交流能力,教育部颁布了《义务教育英语课程标准(2011年版)》(以下简称《标准(2011)》),对中小学生的英语口语做出了相关要求,并对教师提出了教学建议。一直以来,农村地区学生被报道为英语口语水平较差,口语交际能力不强：大多数农村英语教师被指对口语教学重视程度不够,课堂教学方式陈旧以及评价方式缺乏系统性。然而,农村中学的口语教学现状到底如何?作者对武鸣县农村初中英语教师的口语教学进行了调查研究。本研究以问卷调查和访谈为研究手段,以广西武鸣六所农村初中的48位英语教师为研究对象,从七个维度进行研究。它们分别是：教师的教学理念、课堂教学情况、作业布置及课外教学情况、教学材料、教师对学生的评价、教学环境和教师专业发展。所关注的两个问题为：(1)武鸣农村初中教师的英语口语教学的总体情况如何?与《标准(2011)》的相关要求是否一致?(2)造成该现状的原因是什么?调查研究结果表明：(1)武鸣农村英语教师有较正确的英语口语教学理念；(2)教师对学生的学习能进行客观的评价。这两点都与《标准(2011)》的要求一致；(3)课堂教学情况为：大部分教师把重点放在讲解语法,课文等,用于口语练习的时间很少,即使进行口语练习,学生说英语的积极性也不高：(4)教师布置的作业形式单一,不利于提高学生口语交际能力：(5)教师所用的教学材料不利于学生的口语学习；(6)很多教师认为所在学校的教学环境不令人满意：(7)教师专业素质较低。根据调查结果,为了更好的改善农村初中的英语口语教学,作者从教师和学校两个角度分别提出几点可操作性的建议。于教师：合理安排教学内容,引导学生掌握有效的学习策略：拓展学生学习的渠道和空间；关注专业化发展。于学校：组织丰富的英语课外活动：创建良好英语校园环境：为教师提供多样化专业培训。
