招生倾斜政策下重点大学农村学生的学业准备和初期学业表现——基于X大学的实证案例研究

【摘要】:基于部委直属X大学2014级新生学业记录和一年级调研数据,使用核密度和多元回归模型分析方法,考察三类农村学生绩点、院系内排名、挂科三个不同学业表现指标。农村定额计划学生初期学业表现并不弱于城市学生,但贫困定向和农村普招学生处于显著劣势,在工程技术类学科中尤其严重,在医科药学院系内的排名呈两极分化;贫困定向、农村普招学生与城市学生在学业表现上的显著差异,相当程度反映了东西部区域差异,以及西部地区更为严重的城乡差异;农村学生和城市学生相比,虽然高考分数并不逊色或仅有轻微劣势,高中排名也不逊色甚至更占优,但是各方面学业准备处于相当劣势,并对其大学初期学业表现差异有显著影响。结果表明,重点大学应注重对社会科学类学生数学和时间管理方面的帮助,注重对工程和医科类学生数学和学习技能方面的帮助,以削减城乡学生学业表现差异。
[Abstract]:Based on the academic records and first-year investigation data of Grade 2014 freshmen in X University directly affiliated to the Ministry, nuclear density and multivariate regression model were used to investigate three types of rural students' achievement points, ranking in departments and departments, and three different academic performance indicators.The initial academic performance of the rural quota plan students is not weaker than that of the urban students, but the poor orientation and rural students are at a significant disadvantage, especially in the engineering and technology subjects, and the ranking in the Department of Medicine and Pharmacy is polarized.Poverty orientation, the significant difference in academic performance between rural students and urban students reflects to a great extent the differences between the eastern and western regions, as well as the more serious differences between urban and rural areas.Although the scores of the college entrance examination are not inferior or only slightly inferior, and the ranking of high school is not inferior or even better, the academic preparation in all aspects is quite inferior and has a significant impact on the differences in their academic performance in the early stage of college.The results showed that the key universities should pay attention to the help of mathematics and time management of social science students, and to the mathematics and learning skills of engineering and medical students, so as to reduce the differences in academic performance between urban and rural students.
