研究生翻译思辨意识与翻译能力的相关性研究

本研究根据思辨能力的相关理论及英语翻译思辨能力维度量表设计出了翻译思辨意识调查问卷。对研究生进行问卷调查、设计英汉互译试题并让其在规定时间内进行英汉互译测试、设计访谈问题并对访谈对象进行访谈。该问卷与翻译实践相结合,旨在探讨翻译思辨意识的定义及构成成分,考察性别、专业对翻译思辨意识的影响,并进一步研究翻译思辨意识与翻译能力之间的相关性。本研究所提出的假设为:翻译思辨意识与英汉互译水平存在相关性。通过验证这个假设笔者将探寻如下问题:1.研究生总体翻译思辨意识如何?2.不同专业是否对翻译思辨意识有影响?3.不同性别是否对翻译思辨意识有影响?研究结果显示,总体上受试者的五个因子与其英译汉、汉译英的成绩成显著正相关,受试者的翻译思辨意识与其双语互译水平成正相关,与翻译能力成正相关。研究还表明,英语专业研究生的翻译思辨意识在总体上高于理工科研究生的翻译思辨意识;女生的翻译思辨意识总体上略高于男生;此外,组间比较结果显示性别和专业之间也存有一定的差异。这些发现可为翻译实践和翻译教学提供一些启示。但是,专业和性别之间同时存在交互作用,其交互作用的机制仍有待进一步探讨。
