范畴理论在中学英语词汇教学中的应用研究

作为英语教学的最基础环节部分,词汇教学一直备受教师们的重视。词汇是用来衡量英语水平高低的重要标准之一,其重要性是无法比拟的。但长久以来,英语词汇教学存在一种教学趋势:词汇教学方法单一,教师更多孤立地教学生单词的发音、意思和固定搭配,造成学生机械地记笔记,背单词表,费时费力低效的词汇教学现象普遍存在。因此如何帮助学生掌握足够的词汇量,并能正确地使用英语词汇,是教师不得不面对的挑战。正是基于这种教学现状,本文从认知语言学的角度,以范畴理论为基础,对中学英语词汇教学进行研究,并提出了具体的研究思路。首先笔者以文献资料为基础,阐述了范畴理论中的原型及基本层次范畴理论的发展过程,接着对中学英语词汇教学现状进行调查并提出了该理论对英语词汇教学的几点重要指导意义,最后进行了基于原型范畴理论的词汇教学实验。在这个实验中,南召县中学高一年级(一)(二)两个班的学生为研究对象,在控制班,作者仍然采用传统的词汇教学方法;而在实验班,当新单词被呈现和巩固时,范畴理论应用其中。在测量方法方面,作者采用了实验前测试,实验后测试、访谈等方式,并运用多种方法来收集、整理和分析数据。最后作者发现,范畴理论指导下的词汇教...
