ESA理论下大学英语阅读教学中跨文化能力培养研究

随着跨文化交际意识和交际能力成为大学英语教学的人文目标,培养兼具语言运用能力和跨文化能力的复合型人才成为当前外语教育领域广泛关注的问题。但如何在现实课堂教学中实施跨文化教学,以及跨文化教学的效果如何,是现行研究所缺乏的。语篇阅读对学习者跨文化能力发展的作用持续引发学界讨论。对中国大学生而言,英语语篇阅读在本质上是一种跨文化活动,是学习者增强跨文化意识,培养跨文化能力的良好媒介。本研究回顾了跨文化外语教学相关研究,分析《全新版大学进阶英语综合教程I》中的文化因素,基于Harmer提出的ESA理论,设计并实施通过大学英语语篇阅读教学培养学生跨文化能力的教学实践,并与传统语篇阅读教学对学生跨文化能力产生的影响进行对比。ESA理论充分考虑学习者学习特征及认知规律,将教学分为三个因素(投入、学习和运用),通过对三个因素的调整和组合可以适应不同的教学内容。本研究采用混合测量的方法,在实验开始和结束时以中国大学生跨文化能力模糊综合评价模型测量学生的跨文化能力;同时在实验过程中收集学生的反思性日志,增加真实自然的原始数据。此外,实验结束后对实验班学生发放课程反馈问卷,并随机抽取7名受试参与半结构访谈,...
