公民教育视域下的美国学校服务性学习研究

【摘要】:随着时代的发展,培养有效公民成为世界各国公民教育的核心议题。美国在长期的公民教育实践中积累了丰富的经验,其学校的服务性学习就是培养有效公民的探索尝试。服务性学习在美国的公民教育体系中处于中心环节。探讨美国学校的服务性学习及其所蕴含的公民教育价值,对发展和创新我国的公民教育具有一定的借鉴意义。 第一部分通过对服务性学习涵义的厘定,概括了服务性学习的内涵:服务性学习是以学生为中心的自主活动、将课程学习与社区服务相结合的开放性学习方式、反思-服务-反思-学习-反思的过程、培养学生关心他人和社会责任感的养成教育等。服务性学习与现代公民教育的价值理念的共通之处在于:注重权责一体,注重培养学生的社会责任意识和参与能力。在此基础上揭示了服务性学习与公民教育的关系及其作用,以显示其在公民教育体系中的地位。 第二部分着重分析了公民教育目标中的美国学校服务性学习。美国民主社会的运行离不开公民对自己公民身份的有效认识以及有效参与行动的支持,所以有效公民成为美国民主社会运行的基础。基于此,培养有效公民的公民教育目标逐渐确立起来。而服务性学习则通过培养学生的服务伦理、公民责任感、批判反思能力,使之成为积极主动参与型公民,以实现公民教育培养有效公民的核心目标。 第三部分阐释作为公民教育方法的公民参与在服务性学习中的具体应用。公民参与是服务性学习具体实践中最基本的方法,它区别于纯政治意义的公民参与而强调相关者的共同社会参与。各参与主体以不同的方式发挥了不同的作用。该部分运用了美国泰勒大学的“地下水资源保护”这一案例,具体展示各参与主体是怎样参与到服务性学习之中的。 最后通过评价美国学校服务性学习的优缺点,提出对我国学校公民教育的借鉴与启示。
[Abstract]:With the development of the times, the cultivation of effective citizens has become the core issue of civic education all over the world. The United States has accumulated rich experience in the practice of civic education over a long period of time. The service learning in American schools is an attempt to cultivate effective citizens. Service learning is the central link in the American civic education system. It has certain reference significance for the development and innovation of civic education in our country. The first part summarizes the connotation of service learning by defining the meaning of service learning: service learning is a student-centered autonomous activity, which combines curriculum learning with community service. The process of introspection-service-reflection-learning-reflection, training students to care for others and cultivate education of social responsibility. Service learning and modern civic education value concept in common lies in: pay attention to power and responsibility in one, On the basis of this, the relationship between service learning and civic education and its role are revealed in order to show their position in the civic education system. The second part focuses on the analysis of American school service learning in the goal of civic education. The functioning of a democratic society in the United States is inseparable from the citizens' effective understanding of their own citizenship and the support of their effective participation in action. Therefore, effective citizens become the basis for the operation of a democratic society in the United States. Based on this, the goal of civic education for cultivating effective citizens is gradually established. To make them active citizens, in order to achieve the core goal of civic education to cultivate effective citizens. The third part explains the concrete application of citizen participation as a method of civic education in service learning. Citizen participation is the most basic method in the practice of service learning. It is different from citizen participation in a purely political sense and emphasizes the common social participation of the people concerned. Each participant plays a different role in different ways. This part uses the case of "groundwater conservation" of Taylor University in the United States. Show how the participants participate in the service learning. Finally, by evaluating the merits and demerits of service learning in American schools, this paper puts forward some references and enlightenment to the civic education in Chinese schools.
