【摘要】：陈子褒认为妇女和儿童才是中国的希望。本着这一原则,他打破女子不能入学的金科玉律,破例招收女子,兴办平民基础教育,开女子义学,编妇孺教材,积极投身于轰轰烈烈的教育实际当中,为中国近代的初等教育做出了重要贡献。
