从文化距离角度分析在华留学生跨文化适应的对比研究

【摘要】：随着全球化的迅猛发展，，越来越多的留学生涌向中国学习和生活。不同的文化距离会导致不同的跨文化适应过程。因此，接收外国留学生的大学或相关机构需要更好地了解他们在适应过程中所面临的不同问题和困难，以便为不同文化群体的留学生提供合适的帮助。 本文从文化距离角度入手，通过定量和定性相结合的研究方法，以在中国留学的美国和韩国学生为研究对象，力图探索不同的文化距离对留学生跨文化适应不同程度的影响，并主要探讨了以下几个研究问题： 1）美国和韩国留学生在中国的适应情况如何？ 2）韩国文化、美国文化与中国文化的文化距离分别是什么程度？ 3）文化距离对美韩留学生跨文化适应中的社会文化适应以及心理适应会产生什么影响？ 通过调查问卷数据和深度访谈内容的分析，本文发现：1)就社会文化适应来说，美国学生在人际互动适应和学术适应方面比韩国学生好，但双方在生活设施适应和价值观适应并无显著差异；2）韩国留学生在心理适应方面优于美国留学生；3）美国与中国的文化距离大于韩国与中国的文化距离；4）在社会文化适应中，文化距离越大，人际互动适应越好。但是生活设施适应，学术适应和价值观适应与文化距离并无联系；5）文化距离越小，心理适应越好。 本研究对中国的相关机构和政府在帮助海外留学生跨文化适应方面有一定的启发，并为准备来中国留学的外国学生的自我准备提供了指导。
[Abstract]:With the rapid development of globalization, more and more foreign students flock to China to study and live. Different cultural distances lead to different intercultural adaptation processes. Therefore, universities or related institutions receiving foreign students need a better understanding of the different problems and difficulties they face in the process of adaptation in order to provide appropriate assistance to students from different cultural groups. Starting from the angle of cultural distance, this paper tries to explore the influence of different cultural distances on the cross-cultural adaptation of foreign students by combining quantitative and qualitative research methods with American and Korean students studying in China. And it mainly discusses the following research questions: 1) how is the adaptation of American and Korean students in China? 2) Korean culture, What is the cultural distance between American culture and Chinese culture? 3) what influence does cultural distance have on the social and cultural adaptation and psychological adaptation of American and Korean students? Through the analysis of questionnaire data and in-depth interviews, this paper finds that: 1) in terms of sociocultural adaptation, American students are better than Korean students in interpersonal interaction and academic adaptation. However, there is no significant difference between the two sides in the adaptation of living facilities and values. 2) the cultural distance between the United States and China is greater than that between Korea and China in terms of psychological adaptation. 4) in the social and cultural adaptation, the greater the cultural distance, the better the interpersonal interaction adaptation. However, the adaptation of living facilities, academic adaptation and values adaptation is not related to cultural distance. 5) the smaller the cultural distance, the better the psychological adaptation. This study has some enlightenments for Chinese institutions and governments in helping overseas students to adapt to cross-culture, and provides guidance for the self-preparation of foreign students who are preparing to study in China.
