任务驱动下的词块法在小学英语词汇教学中的应用

【摘要】：小学是英语学习的启蒙阶段。小学里并不涉及太多的语法学习,因此词汇是衡量一个小学生英语水平的重要标志。根据了解目前在小学中普遍使用的是语法为基础的词汇教学方法,这种方法忽视了学习策略的使用,导致许多学生虽然花了大量的时间在记忆单词上,却并不能取得好的记忆效果或在日常生活中应用自如。学生进入五年级后两极分化的情况越来越严重。词汇组块教学法与任务型语言教学法是英语教学中的两个热点话题。许多的研究已经证明了这两种教学法的有效性,但是很少有研究是关于词块法在小学英语中的应用或者将两种教学法有机融合来进行研究。因此本研究致力于通过实证研究证明任务驱动下的词块法有利于提高学生的词汇能力及英语学习兴趣。任务驱动下的词块法是一种让学生应用所学词块去完成任务的教学方法。本研究主要围绕下面两个问题展开:问题一:任务驱动下的词块法是否有利于提高学生的词汇能力?问题二:任务驱动下的词块法是否有助于学生提高英语学习的兴趣和信心?作者从2016年8月至2017年1月在天津市某小学开展实验。实验期间,作者在实验班应用了任务驱动下的词块法进行词汇教学并采用了前测与后测、调查问卷及访谈作为研究手段并通过SPSS16. 0来分析数据。实验结果证明任务驱动下的词块法有利于提高学生的词汇深度与词汇广度。调查问卷表明该教学方法能帮助学生提高英语学习兴趣和信心。作者希望该研究的发现能够从理论与实践上对小学英语词汇教学与学习有所贡献。
[Abstract]:Primary school is the enlightenment stage of English learning. Primary school does not involve much grammar learning, so vocabulary is an important indicator of a pupil's English proficiency. According to the understanding that grammar based vocabulary teaching method is widely used in primary schools, this method neglects the use of learning strategies and results in many students spending a lot of time memorizing words. It doesn't work well in memory or in everyday life. The polarization of students into the fifth grade is becoming more and more serious. Lexical block teaching and task-based language teaching are two hot topics in English teaching. Many studies have proved the effectiveness of the two methods, but few studies have focused on the application of lexical chunks in primary school English or the organic integration of the two approaches. Therefore, the present study aims to prove that task-driven lexical chunks can improve students' vocabulary competence and interest in English learning. Task-driven lexical chunks is a teaching method that allows students to use the lexical chunks they have learned to complete their tasks. This study focuses on the following two questions: question 1: does task-driven lexical chunks help students improve their vocabulary skills? Question 2: does task-driven lexical chunks help students improve their interest and confidence in English learning? The author conducted experiments in a primary school in Tianjin from August 2016 to January 2017. During the experiment, the author applied task-driven lexical chunks to vocabulary teaching in the experimental class and adopted pre-test and post-test, questionnaire and interview as the research means and through SPSS16. 0 to analyze the data. The experimental results show that task-driven lexical chunks can improve students' vocabulary depth and vocabulary breadth. The questionnaire shows that this teaching method can help students improve their interest and confidence in English learning. The author hopes that the findings of this study will contribute to the teaching and learning of English vocabulary in primary schools theoretically and practically.
