研究生第一学历与起薪差异

【摘要】：本文对武汉七所重点高校研究生的第一学历与起薪进行研究,结果表明:在控制了最终学位授予学校的教育质量后,研究生第一学历对其起薪有显著的正向影响;这一影响在不同起薪水平、专业、行业和单位性质中表现并不相同;Oaxaca-Blinder分解结果显示,在控制其他变量的情况下,研究生起薪差异中62.51%应归结于第一学历歧视;进一步使用Melly分解结果表明,在起薪水平较低的研究生中,第一学历歧视是造成其起薪差异的主要原因。
[Abstract]:This paper studies the first degree and starting salary of graduate students in seven key universities in Wuhan. The results show that after controlling the quality of education awarded by the final degree, the first degree of graduate education has a significant positive effect on the starting salary; The results of Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition in different starting salary levels, majors, industries and units show that 62.51% of the differences in the starting salary of graduate students should be attributed to discrimination of first degree under the control of other variables. The results of Melly decomposition show that the discrimination of first degree is the main reason for the difference of starting salary among the graduate students with lower starting salary level.
