[Abstract]:At the invitation of Professor Chen Bo of the Department of philosophy of Peking University, Williamson (Timothy Williamson), a professor of logic at Oxford University, visited the Department of philosophy of Peking University from October 8 to 19, 2015. Williamson is a fellow of the British Academy of Sciences, of the Royal Society of England, of the European Academy of Sciences, of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, of the Danish Academy of Arts and Sciences, of the Irish Academy of Sciences, of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. The current president of the Aristotle Institute and the Soul Society is one of the most influential philosophers of the day. On 16 and 17 October, the International Symposium on "Williamson: logic and philosophy" was held at Peking University. This meeting
