自尊对人际知觉的影响

【摘要】:人际活动中,我们需要对交往对象的人格特征、行为习惯、情绪,以及他对自己的态度做出一定的判断,这个过程被称为人际知觉。而在这个过程中,经常会出现一些偏差。而自尊作为影响个体知情意行的一个内部因素,在人际知觉及其偏差的过程中起着重要的作用。自尊不止有高低水平的分类,高自尊也可分为防御性高自尊和真实性高自尊。研究一采用真实的人际交往情境,考察了自尊的高低水平对个体人际知觉的影响。结果发现:对于消极的人际信息,高自尊组的人际知觉得分大于低自尊组的人际知觉得分,差异显著,F(1,78)=9.48,p0.01;但对于积极的人际信息,两组的人际知觉得分差异不显著,F(1,78)=0.01,p=0.915。研究二进一步深入考察不同高自尊类型(防御性高自尊/真实性高自尊)对个体人际知觉的影响。结果发现:防御性高自尊组与真实性高自尊组的人际知觉差异不显著。产生这一结果的原因可能在于我们运用的是外显的测量方式,在一般情境下可能无法测量到防御性高自尊与真实性高自尊的差异。研究三我们创设了社会排斥的情境,深入研究不同高自尊类型个体的人际知觉差异。结果发现,在社会排斥情境下,防御性高自尊组与真实性高自尊组对消极人际信息的知觉差异显著,F(1,78)=14.95,p0.001;防御性高自尊组在社会排斥与社会接纳两种情境下,对消极人际信息的知觉差异显著,F(1,78)=5.66,p0.05。结论:自尊的高低水平对个体的人际知觉有影响,且防御性高自尊对个体的人际知觉有影响,但这种影响只在社会排斥的情境下显现。这是导致以往一些学者们关于高低自尊对人际知觉影响的研究结果出现差异的原因。
[Abstract]:In interpersonal activities, we need to judge the personality characteristics, behavior habits, emotions and attitudes of the objects of communication. This process is called interpersonal perception. In this process, there are often some deviations. As an internal factor, self-esteem plays an important role in the process of interpersonal perception and deviation. High self-esteem can also be classified into defensive high self-esteem and real high self-esteem. In the first study, the influence of self-esteem level on individual interpersonal perception was investigated by using real interpersonal situations. The results showed that for the negative interpersonal information, the interpersonal perception score of the high self-esteem group was higher than that of the low self-esteem group, the difference was significant (, F (1f78) = 9.48% p0.01, but for the positive interpersonal information, the difference between the two groups was not significant, F (178) = 0.01p0.915. In the second study, the effects of different types of high self-esteem (defensive high self-esteem / real high self-esteem) on individual interpersonal perception were further investigated. The results showed that there was no significant difference in interpersonal perception between defensive high self-esteem group and real high self-esteem group. The reason for this result may be that we use explicit measurement methods, and we may not be able to measure the difference between defensive high self-esteem and real high self-esteem in general situations. In the third study, we created a social exclusion situation and studied the interpersonal perception differences of individuals with different high self-esteem types. The results showed that the difference of perception of negative interpersonal information between defensive high self-esteem group and real high self-esteem group was significant (, F (178) = 14.95% (p 0.001), and defensive high self-esteem group was in two situations of social exclusion and social acceptance. The difference in perception of negative interpersonal information was significant (, F (1 / 78) = 5.66% (p = 0.05). Conclusion: the level of self-esteem has an effect on individual interpersonal perception, and defensive high self-esteem has an effect on individual interpersonal perception, but this effect only appears in the situation of social exclusion. This is the reason for the differences in previous studies on the influence of high and low self-esteem on interpersonal perception.
