【摘要】:翻译在国家之间的交流沟通上占据着举足轻重的地位。现如今在全球的大背景下,越来越多的国外学术文本涌入中国,高质量的翻译供不应求。然而目前学术类文本的翻译现状并不乐观:学术文本翻译的质量良莠不齐;学术文本翻译未能受到翻译界足够的重视,针对学术文本翻译的相关理论研究又长期为学术界所忽视。这些问题影响学术文本的翻译质量,进而制约了学术成果的传播与发展。基于以上问题,本报告将结合笔者本人的学术文本翻译实践进行分析和研究,归纳总结学术类文本的翻译策略与方法,为提高学术文本的翻译质量提供帮助。本报告的翻译材料是翻译界学术类书籍Becoming a Translator:An Introduction to the Theory and Practice of Translation的节选,该部分主要从用户和译者两方面阐释翻译。笔者仔细分析原文内容以及学术文本的文本特征,归纳总结翻译策略,解决了翻译过程中出现的词汇,句法以及语篇层面的翻译问题,以提升学术类文本的翻译质量。本报告以纽马克的文本类型理论为指导,结合语义翻译和交际翻译的翻译策略,通过对译文的案例分析,分别从词汇、句法及语篇层面总结了学术文本的翻译方法。在词汇层面上,由于学术类文本中含有大量的术语、专业词汇以及一词多义的现象,结合语义翻译策略,笔者采取直译和语境翻译的翻译方法。在句法层面,笔者采取了交际翻译策略,将译文读者的因素放在首位,改变句子原有的结构,使其符合目标语言读者的用语习惯,而对于学术文本中常用的被动句、陈述因果的句子以及结构复杂的长句子采用了句式转换、逆向翻译、句子拆分和重组的翻译方法。在语篇层面,通过分析汉语与英语在衔接与连贯方式上的差异,采用调整连接词和改编句子的方法以此提高翻译的质量。希望本报告能为解决学术文本翻译中出现的问题提供借鉴,同时也能为学术文本翻译的理论指导做出补充。
[Abstract]:Translation plays an important role in the communication between countries. Nowadays, in the global context, more and more foreign academic texts pour into China. The demand for high-quality translation is short of supply. However, the current situation of translation of academic texts is not optimistic: the quality of translation of academic texts is mixed; The academic text translation has not been paid enough attention to, and the theoretical research on the academic text translation has been neglected for a long time. These problems affect the translation quality of the academic text. Based on the above problems, this report will analyze and study the translation practice of academic texts and summarize the translation strategies and methods of academic texts. To help improve the quality of translation of academic texts. The translation material for this report is Becoming a Translator:An, an academic book from the translation community. Excerpt from Introduction to the Theory and Practice of Translation. The author analyzes the content of the original text and the characteristics of the academic text, summarizes the translation strategies, and solves the vocabulary appearing in the process of translation. In order to improve the translation quality of academic texts, this report is guided by Newmark's text typology theory and combines the translation strategies of semantic and communicative translation. The translation methods of academic texts are summarized from the lexical, syntactic and textual levels through case studies. At the lexical level, academic texts contain a large number of terms. Combining the semantic translation strategies, the author adopts the translation methods of literal translation and contextual translation. At the syntactic level, the author adopts communicative translation strategies. By putting the readers' factors in the first place, the original structure of the sentences should be changed to conform to the target language readers' idioms, while the passive sentences are commonly used in academic texts. Sentences that state causality and long sentences with complex structures are translated by sentence transformation, reverse translation, sentence splitting and recombination. By analyzing the differences between Chinese and English in cohesion and coherence. In order to improve the quality of translation, it is hoped that this report can be used to solve the problems in the translation of academic texts. At the same time, it can supplement the theoretical guidance of academic text translation.
