《洪堡的礼物》中贝娄对消费主义的批判

【摘要】：《洪堡的礼物》(1975)是美国当代作家索尔·贝娄(1915-2005)的代表作之一。这部小说保持了贝娄对现代社会中个人精神困境问题的深入探讨。贝娄通过对作家冯·洪堡·弗莱谢尔及其追随者查理·西特林的人生境遇的细致描摹,着重刻画了战后美国社会中日益严重的物质主义氛围对知识分子精神世界的戕害。本文借助法国理论家家让·鲍德里亚的消费主义理论及其相关理论,对小说中造成主人公困境的社会原因进行了深入的分析,以期为该部作品的研究提供一个新的视角。本文可以分为三个部分:第一部分为论文的导入部分,该部分对作家、作品、该作品国内外研究现状以及消费主义相关理论进行了简要介绍。第二部分为论文的讨论部分。在第一章中,通过对《洪堡的礼物》中所展现时代的社会背景进行分析。第二章在第一章行文的基础之上,进一步分析了小说中的知识分子主人公在消费主义社会背景下面临的个人身份的缺失、人际关系异化所产生的精神困境。第三章通过对作者贝娄笔下人物命运的梳理,揭示其在消费社会背景下寻求出路的必然选择。第三部分为结论部分。该部分对论文的观点进行综述。消费社会所带来的挑战是所有人所必须面对的,只有通过思想上的自省加强自我意识,并与外部社会达成和解才有可能最终走出困境。
[Abstract]:< > Humboldt's gift (1975) is a contemporary American writer Sol Bellow (1915-2005) is one of the representative works. In the second chapter, on the basis of the first chapter of the paper, further analysis of the lack of intellectual in the novel the protagonist faces in the social context of consumerism the personal identity, spiritual predicament of the alienation of interpersonal relationship caused by the fate of the characters. In the third chapter, the author under the pen of Bellow combs, reveals the inevitable choice to seek a way out in the consumer society. The third part is the conclusion. This part summarizes the viewpoints of this paper. Consumer society brought about challenges is necessary in the face of all the people, only through introspection on the thought to strengthen self-awareness, and external social reconciliation may eventually have to get out of the trouble.
