基于《朗文交互英语》教学平台的大学英语听说课翻转课堂教学模式研究

【摘要】:自从美国科罗拉多州林地公园高中化学老师乔纳森·伯尔曼和亚伦·萨姆斯在课堂中采用“翻转课堂”教学模式以来,作为信息技术与课堂教学整合的一次全新尝试,翻转课堂已经在全球教育界掀起了一场革命性的浪潮。翻转课堂通过对知识传授和知识内化的颠倒安排,改变了传统教学中的师生角色并对课堂时间的使用进行了重新规划,实现了对传统教学模式的革新。通过阅读文献发现,相较于国外对翻转课堂的研究,国内研究多集中在理论研究以及翻转课堂在一些中小学教学中的应用研究,关于翻转课堂在语言教学,尤其是在大学英语教学中的应用探索仍然处于起步阶段。然而,随着教育信息化的快速发展以及大学英语教学改革的不断深入,英语听说课教学模式的改革已经引起了越来越多研究者和教育者的关注。基于《朗文交互英语》教学平台的翻转课堂教学模式在大学英语听说课中的应用为英语教学改革提供了新的思路和灵感。以建构主义学习理论为基础,依托《朗文交互英语》教学平台,本研究采用定量研究与定性研究相结合的方法,试图构建一种新的教学模式,旨在回答如下三个问题:(1)与传统教学模式相比,基于《朗文交互英语》的翻转课堂教学模式有哪些特点?(2)基于《朗文交互英语》的翻转课堂教学模式在大学英语听说教学中的应用效果如何?(3)师生们对基于《朗文交互英语》的翻转课堂教学模式在大学英语听说教学中的应用反馈如何?本研究在沈阳师范大学2014级艺术类本科生中选取两个班(80人)作为研究对象,两个班男女比例大致相同,且根据前测显示,两个班学生的听说能力基本相当。随后从中任意选取一个班作为实验班,另一个则为控制班进行实验。在实验过程中,实验班的学生在大学英语听说课中接受翻转课堂教学模式,而控制班依旧沿用传统的教学模式。一个学期的实验结束后,利用SPSS 19.0统计软件对所搜集的相关数据进行分析。通过对测试分数、课堂观察及访谈结果的分析,得出如下结论:(1)基于《朗文交互英语》的翻转课堂转换了师生角色;颠倒了教学结构;优化了教学设计;完善了教学评价;(2)基于《朗文交互英语》的翻转课堂教学模式在大学英语听说教学中的应用有助于提高学生们的英语听说水平;激发学生们的英语学习热情;培养学生们自主学习意识;增进师生感情。(3)师生们对基于《朗文交互英语》的翻转课堂在大学英语听说教学中的应用给出了积极的反馈并表示在未来学习中愿意继续接受翻转课堂教学模式。综合整个研究,本文在最后总结了研究中的不足之处,并对今后翻转课堂教学模式在大学英语听说课中的应用和研究提出了相关建议。
[Abstract]:Ever since Jonathan Berman and Aaron Summs, chemistry teachers at Woodland Park High School in Colorado, used the "flip classroom" model in their classrooms, as a new attempt to integrate information technology with classroom instruction, Flipping classroom has set off a revolutionary wave in the world of education. By reversing the arrangement of knowledge transfer and knowledge internalization, the flipping classroom has changed the role of teachers and students in traditional teaching and replanned the use of classroom time. Through reading the literature, it is found that, compared with the foreign research on flipping classroom, the domestic research focuses on the theoretical research and the application of flipping classroom in some primary and secondary schools. The application and exploration of flipping classroom in language teaching, especially in college English teaching, is still in its infancy. However, with the rapid development of educational information and the deepening of college English teaching reform, The reform of the teaching mode of English listening and speaking course has attracted more and more attention of researchers and educators. The Application of flipping classroom Teaching Model based on Longman Interactive English Teaching platform in College English listening and speaking Class. Teaching reform provides new ideas and inspiration. It is based on constructivist learning theory. Based on the "Longman Interactive English" teaching platform, this study attempts to construct a new teaching model by combining quantitative research with qualitative research. The purpose of this study is to answer the following three questions: 1) compared with the traditional teaching model. What are the characteristics of the flipped classroom teaching model based on Longman Interactive English? 2) what is the effect of flipping classroom teaching mode based on Longman Interactive English in college English listening and speaking teaching? 3) what are the feedback from teachers and students on the application of the flipped classroom teaching model based on Longman Interactive English in college English listening and speaking teaching? In this study, 80 students from two classes were selected among the art undergraduates of Shenyang normal University in 2014. The ratio of male and female in the two classes was roughly the same, and according to the pre-test, The listening and speaking abilities of the two classes were basically the same. Then one class was chosen as the experimental class from the middle school and the other was the control class. In the course of the experiment, The students in the experimental class accept the flipping classroom teaching mode in the college English listening and speaking class, while the control class still follows the traditional teaching mode. Through the analysis of test scores, classroom observation and interview results, the following conclusion is drawn: 1) based on "Longman Interactive English", the role of teachers and students is changed in the flipped classroom. Inversion of teaching structure, optimization of teaching design, improvement of teaching evaluation) the application of flipping classroom teaching model based on Longman Interactive English in college English listening and speaking teaching helps to improve students' English listening and speaking level. Stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning English, cultivate students' consciousness of independent learning; The teachers and students give positive feedback on the application of flipped classroom based on Longman Interactive English in college English listening and speaking teaching and express their willingness to continue to accept the flipping classroom teaching mode in future learning. ... Synthesizing the whole study, Finally, this paper summarizes the shortcomings of the research, and puts forward some suggestions on the application and research of the flipped classroom teaching model in college English listening and speaking classes in the future.
