交际翻译视角下《美国—智利自由贸易协定》中复杂名词词组的汉译实践报告

【摘要】：随着现代英语的发展,带有前置修饰语的名词词组已经成为常见的语言现象。它在丰富英语表达的同时更加接近于汉语表达,在提高英语流畅度的同时缩短了英汉两种语言在思维表达上的差异。名词词组在英汉翻译中起着非常重要的作用,翻译的准确与否直接影响着信息传递和译文的质量。英语中由中心名词和多个前置修饰语构成的名词词组结构复杂,修饰语成分多样,且位置灵活多变,给英汉翻译造成困难。本报告基于《美国-智利自由贸易协定》的翻译实践,从纽马克翻译理论出发,重点总结了英语复杂名词词组的汉译规律。自由贸易协定是一种信息型文本,侧重信息内容的准确表达,因此,在翻译自由贸易协定中名词词组时,为了能够准确传达协定信息,应该以语义翻译和交际翻译为指导,尤其是交际翻译,根据名词词组的结构特征,采用灵活的翻译策略。本报告由翻译任务介绍、翻译过程、案例分析和实践总结四部分构成。其中案例分析为主要部分,通过对自由贸易文本中带有多个前置修饰语的名词词组进行分类,具体类别结构具体分析,探讨了直译法、词序调整法、增词法、语义引申法、合译法等翻译策略和翻译方法在这些复杂名词词组翻译中的可行性。
[Abstract]:With the development of modern English, noun phrases with premodifiers have become a common linguistic phenomenon.It not only enriches English expression, but also approaches Chinese expression more closely. It improves the fluency of English and shortens the difference between English and Chinese in thinking expression.Noun phrases play an important role in English-Chinese translation. The accuracy of translation directly affects the quality of information transmission and translation.In English, the noun phrases composed of central nouns and premodifiers are complicated in structure, various in modifiers and flexible in position, which make translation difficult for English and Chinese.Based on the translation practice of the United States-Chile Free Trade Agreement, this report focuses on the Chinese translation of English complex noun phrases, based on Newmark's translation theory.Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is an informative text with emphasis on the accurate expression of the content of the information. Therefore, in order to convey the agreement information accurately, semantic translation and communicative translation should be used as the guidance in the translation of noun phrases in FTAs.In particular, communicative translation adopts flexible translation strategies according to the structural characteristics of noun phrases.This report consists of four parts: translation task introduction, translation process, case analysis and practice summary.The case analysis is the main part. By classifying the noun phrases with several premodifiers in the free trade text and analyzing the specific category structure, the paper discusses the literal translation, word order adjustment, increasing lexical, semantic extension.The feasibility of translation strategies and methods in the translation of these complex noun phrases.
