基于概念隐喻理论的大学英语写作教学的有效性研究

【摘要】：写作是英语学习四大技能之一。许多研究学者和教师已经对大学英语写作教学进行了研究。然而研究结果表明学生们在英语写作中更多关注的是词汇和语法或将汉语句子直接按照汉语句式翻译过来,导致句式和表达上的非本族语形式和单一性。近年来,随着国内外学者对概念隐喻理论研究的不断深入,越来越多的学者认为概念隐喻理论能为二语教学提供新的教学方法。本文以莱考夫和约翰逊的概念隐喻理论为支撑,研究如下两个问题:1.概念隐喻理论应用到大学英语写作中对学生隐喻能力的效果是什么?2.概念隐喻理论应用到大学英语写作中对学生写作成绩的效果是什么?为了验证将概念隐喻理论引入到大学英语写作教学中是否能回答这两个问题,笔者对某大学大二的两个班级进行了为期15周的教学实验。其中一个班级为控制班,采用传统的写作教学模式。另一个班级为实验班,采用概念隐喻理论的教学模式。本文的研究工具包括:前测、后测和访谈。通过SPSS17.0软件对前侧和后侧的实验数据进行统计和分析并结合访谈数据,笔者得出概念隐喻理论能够提高大学生的隐喻能力和英语写作成绩,将概念隐喻理论应用到大学英语写作教学中具有可行性的结论。最后,将概念隐喻理论应用到大学英语写作教学仍处于实验阶段,还有许多不足,因此笔者提出了一些教学启示和研究缺陷以便为今后的研究提供建议。
[Abstract]:Writing is one of the four skills in English learning.Many researchers and teachers have studied the teaching of college English writing.However, the results show that students pay more attention to vocabulary and grammar in English writing or translate Chinese sentences directly according to Chinese sentence patterns, which leads to the non-native form and singularity of sentence structure and expression.In recent years, with the deepening research on conceptual metaphor theory, more and more scholars believe that conceptual metaphor theory can provide a new teaching method for second language teaching.Based on Lakoff's and Johnson's Conceptual metaphor Theory, this paper studies the following two questions: 1.What is the effect of conceptual metaphor theory on students' metaphorical competence in college English writing?What is the effect of applying Conceptual metaphor Theory to College English Writing?In order to verify whether the conceptual metaphor theory can answer these two questions in college English writing teaching, the author conducted a 15-week teaching experiment on two classes in a college sophomore.One of the classes is the control class, which adopts the traditional writing teaching mode.The other class is the experimental class, which adopts the conceptual metaphor theory.The research tools of this paper include: pre-test, post-test and interview.By using SPSS17.0 software to analyze the experimental data in front and back and combining with the interview data, the author draws a conclusion that conceptual metaphor theory can improve college students' metaphorical competence and English writing achievement.It is feasible to apply conceptual metaphor theory to college English writing teaching.Finally, the application of conceptual metaphor theory to the teaching of college English writing is still in the experimental stage, and there are still many shortcomings. Therefore, the author puts forward some teaching implications and research defects in order to provide suggestions for future research.
