【摘要】：巴蜀文化,作为中国文化的一个重要分支,对于中国文化的形成具有十分重大的意义。本报告是以《典出四川》(节选)汉英翻译实践为文本,探讨中国历史故事的翻译。《典出四川》介绍了源于四川的故事传说,反映了巴蜀文化的秀美和中华文明的繁荣。随着各国间文化竞争日益激烈,中国愈加重视发展文化软实力。而这一译介工作恰好顺应“文化走出去”战略的潮流,它对提高中国文化竞争力,促进中国与世界的文化交流意义非凡。在此次翻译实践中,笔者发现该文本中有大量的汉语称谓词、四字词组、作品名和汉语散句,这些增加了本次翻译项目的难度。针对这些特点,笔者通过查阅相关文献资料,基于尤金·奈达提出的功能对等理论,对上述难题进行分析并总结了一些可行的翻译方法。笔者认为,对于词汇层面的难题,可采用直译法、意译法、直译加意译、音译及省略法等方法灵活处理,使读者更好地理解中国典故故事的历史内涵。而对于汉语散句的翻译,笔者结合上下文语境,采用顺译法、合译法和综合法等方法进行翻译,使译文符合译入语习惯并能为读者所接受。笔者希望本次翻译实践能够对中国历史故事的翻译提供有价值的参考,从而传播巴蜀文化,彰显中国文明。
[Abstract]:As an important branch of Chinese culture, Bashu culture is of great significance to the formation of Chinese culture. This report discusses the translation of Chinese historical stories based on the translation practice of "Sichuan out of Sichuan" (excerpt) from Chinese to English. It introduces the stories and legends from Sichuan, reflecting the beauty of Bashu culture and the prosperity of Chinese civilization. With the increasingly fierce cultural competition between countries, China pays more attention to the development of cultural soft power. The translation and introduction work is in keeping with the trend of the strategy of "going out of Culture", which is of great significance to the improvement of Chinese cultural competitiveness and the promotion of cultural exchange between China and the world. In this translation practice, the author finds that there are a large number of Chinese appellations, four-character phrases, works names and Chinese sentences in the text, which increase the difficulty of this translation project. Based on the functional equivalence theory proposed by Eugene Nida, the author analyzes the above problems and summarizes some feasible translation methods. The author believes that the lexical problems can be dealt with flexibly by means of literal translation, free translation, literal translation plus free translation, transliteration and ellipsis, so that readers can better understand the historical connotation of Chinese allusions. As for the translation of Chinese sentences, the author adopts the following methods, such as sequence translation, co-translation and synthesis, in order to make the translation conform to the target language habit and be accepted by the readers. The author hopes that this translation practice can provide a valuable reference for the translation of Chinese historical stories so as to spread the culture of Bashu and highlight Chinese civilization.
