基于语料库的接受理论视角下《波丽安娜》史凯译本中对话的翻译研究

【摘要】:本文以姚斯和伊泽尔提出的接受美学为理论基础研究儿童小说对话的翻译。接受理论的核心观点是从受众出发、从接受出发。该理论把人们的注意力从原文本身转移到了读者的身上,从原来的以作者为中心转变成为以读者为中心,为读者而译。本文运用了基于语料库的研究方法,对儿童小说《波丽安娜》史凯译本中的对话内容展开定量以及定性的研究。该研究利用Perl语言提取出中英文双语的对话内容,通过Trados软件建立了对话内容的中英文平行语料库,主要从语言、修辞和文化三个方面对译文进行描述性研究,旨在探究其是否符合读者中心的翻译理念。研究结果表明:接受理论在儿童小说对话的翻译上具有重要的指导作用。描述性研究使得小说对话的翻译具有一定的可视化效果,符合从语言、修辞和文化三个方面进行翻译的对话数量分别为1498、209、721,它们各占提取对话总数的61.7%、8.6%和29.7%,因此,译作中的对话部分基本上顺应接受理论"读者中心"的核心理念。此研究结果证明只有在译作满足期待视野、角色地位以及视野融合这三个接受理论的观点的情况下才能被目标读者接受;另外,儿童作为社会中的特殊群体,有符合自身的年龄特点和接受能力,因此,译者在翻译儿童文学作品中的对话部分时,可以使用简单明了的遣词造句、生动有趣的修辞以及通俗易懂的文化负载词。本文具有理论和现实的双重意义。一方面,这项研究进一步发展了接受理论视角下儿童文学对话的翻译研究;另一方面,此研究有助于中国大陆的读者对英文儿童文学译作的理解和欣赏。
[Abstract]:Based on the reception aesthetics proposed by Yao and Izer, this paper studies the translation of dialogue in children's novels. The core point of reception theory is from the audience, from the reception. This theory shifts people's attention from the original text itself to the reader's body, from the original author as the center to the reader-centered translation for the reader. In this paper, a corpus-based approach is used to quantitatively and qualitatively study the dialogue content in the children's novel "Brianna". In this study, the bilingual dialogue content is extracted from Perl language, and a parallel corpus of Chinese and English dialogue content is established by Trados software, which is mainly used to describe the translation from three aspects: language, rhetoric and culture. The purpose of this paper is to explore whether it is in line with the reader-centered translation concept. The results show that reception theory plays an important role in the translation of children's novels. The descriptive study makes the translation of the novel dialogue have a certain visual effect, which accords with the number of dialogues translated from the three aspects of language, rhetoric and culture, which respectively account for 61.7% and 29.776% of the total number of dialogues extracted, respectively. The dialogue part in the translation basically conforms to the core idea of reader-centered reception theory. The results of this study demonstrate that only when the translation meets the three acceptance theories of expectation vision, role status and vision fusion can it be accepted by the target readers. In addition, children are a special group in society. Therefore, in translating the dialogue part of children's literature, translators can use simple and clear sentences, vivid and interesting rhetoric and culture-loaded words. This paper has the dual meaning of theory and reality. On the one hand, this study further develops the translation study of children's literature dialogue from the perspective of reception theory; on the other hand, it helps the readers in mainland China to understand and appreciate the translation of English children's literature.
