海事事故调查报告中系动词be的汉译实践报告

【摘要】：海事事故调查报告对海上航行运输安全,总结海上交通事故、分析事故原因和预防避免类似海上交通事故非常重要。研究系动词be+表语构成的系表结构的翻译对引进国外海事事故调查报告有一定的意义,有利于我国借鉴国际海事事故案例,提升国内海事事故调查报告的书写规范性,防范类似海上事故。本文是一篇研究海事事故调查报告中系动词be的汉译实践报告,旨在促进在系动词be+表语构成的系表结构中的be的翻译研究。系动词be+表语构成的系表结构简洁又富有很强的表达能力,若使用得当文章会更加简洁生动。海事文本中广泛使用此类结构符合其文体正式、简洁的特点。在翻译海事事故调查报告中的系动词be+表语构成的系表结构时,作者发现有些情况下be可以翻译出来,有些情况下be虽然可以翻译出来但是省略be的翻译会更合适,还有些情况下be不能被译出来。因此,如何翻译好系动词be是本次翻译实践中的一道难题。本报告基于弗米尔的目的论,对be后所接不同类型的短语进行分类,通过案例分析,总结出以下翻译策略:(1)系动词be接名词性短语时,一般情况下,be被译为"是";少数情况下,根据语言节奏省译be,或者根据语境意译be;(2)系动词be接形容词短语和介词短语时,be在此处不具有明显的词汇意义,一般情况下,采取零翻译的策略,同时采用词类转移法把英语中表语的形容词和介词转化成汉语的其他成分;少数情况下,be被译为"是"。(3)it做形式主语时,系动词be采取零翻译的策略,只把其中的形容词用词类转移法译出来;(4)there be句型中,be是实义动词,译为"有"或"存在"。
[Abstract]:The maritime accident investigation report is very important to maritime traffic safety, to summarize maritime traffic accidents, to analyze the cause of the accident and to prevent the avoidance of similar maritime traffic accidents. The translation of the system structure of the verb be+ form of the research department is of certain significance to the introduction of the overseas maritime accident investigation report, which is helpful for our country to draw on the international maritime accidents. The case is to improve the writing standard of the domestic maritime accident investigation report and prevent similar maritime accidents. This paper is a Chinese translation practice report of the verb be in the study of maritime accident investigation report, which aims to promote the translation study of be in the table structure of the be+ form of the system verb. The system structure of the verb be+ form is concise and rich. There is a strong ability to express, if the appropriate use of the article will be more concise and vivid. The extensive use of this kind of structure in maritime texts conforms to its formal and concise features. In the case of the system structure of the verb be+ expressions in the maritime accident investigation report, the author finds that in some circumstances, the be can be translated, and in some cases be although It can be translated, but the translation of be is more appropriate, and in some cases be can not be translated. Therefore, how to translate good verb be is a difficult problem in this translation practice. This report is based on the Skopos Theory of Vermeer, classifying different types of phrases after be, and summarizing the following translation strategies through case analysis: ( 1) when be is a noun phrase, in general, be is translated as "yes"; in a few cases, be is translated according to the rhythm of language, or be is translated according to the context of context; and (2) the verb be is connected to adjective and prepositional phrases, be does not have obvious lexical meaning here. In general, the strategy of zero translation is adopted, and the word class transfer method is adopted at the same time. The adjectives and prepositions in English are translated into other components of the Chinese language; in a few cases, be is translated as "yes". (3) when it is a formal subject, the verb be adopts a zero translation strategy and only translates the adjectives in the word class transfer method; (4) in the there be sentence, be is a real verb, translated into "yes" or "existence".
