《荒原》中的诗歌隐喻研究

艾略特的《荒原》在西方文学史上具有重要的位置,被誉为里程碑。由于《荒原》自身的特点和独特的地位,《荒原》吸引大量国内外学者对其进行研究。《荒原》的研究起源较早,发展至今,取得丰硕的成果,已经从最初的文本研究发展为多领域、多视角的研究。本文选《荒原》作为语料,以莱考夫和约翰逊的概念隐喻理论、莱考夫和特纳的诗歌隐喻理论、以及科威尔的诗歌隐喻理论为理论框架,来分析《荒原》中的诗歌隐喻。本论文的主要研究问题如下所示:(1)在《荒原》中,三种类型的概念隐喻是如何分布的?(2)在《荒原》中,诗歌隐喻的功能有哪些?(3)在《荒原》中,诗歌隐喻的特点是什么?本论文运用概念隐喻理论和诗歌隐喻理论,对《荒原》中的隐喻进行研究。诗歌隐喻这个概念最先由莱考夫和特纳在《超过冷静分析:诗性隐喻分析指南》这本著作中提出,他们认为诗歌隐喻就是诗歌中的概念隐喻。诗歌隐喻和概念隐喻有着密不可分的特性,因此基于概念隐喻的理论来研究诗歌隐喻,具有合理性和科学性,符合人们的认知规律。但诗歌隐喻并不完全等同于概念隐喻,诗歌隐喻具有其独特性。运用诗歌隐喻理论来研究诗歌隐喻的独特功能和语言特点,对全面认识诗歌隐喻具有重要的意义。基于概念隐喻和诗歌隐喻的共性和特性,对诗歌隐喻进行比较系统的研究,为以后的诗歌研究提供新思路、新视角。本论文是研究《荒原》中的诗歌隐喻。作者意在通过对《荒原》中的诗歌隐喻进行个案研究,进而探究诗歌隐喻的普遍规律。本论文运用个案研究与、定性与定量相结合的方法,对《荒原》进行探索性研究。定量研究主要运用于总结《荒原》中概念隐喻的分布特点,个案研究是本论文的主要研究方法,来对《荒原》中的隐喻的表达、及其独特的功能和特点进行分析阐述。通过上述分析,得出以下结论:在《荒原》诗歌隐喻类型的分布中,结构隐喻最多,其次是本体隐喻,方向隐喻则很少使用;《荒原》诗歌隐喻具有扩展功能、详细功能、质问功能以及组成功能;其中诗歌隐喻的特点主要体现为其语言特点和结构特点。同时,《荒原》诗歌隐隐喻言具有明确性、丰富性、抽象性、范围性和正确性的特点;《荒原》诗歌隐隐喻结构具有系统性和层级性的特点。此句陈述由作者创新地整合。由于诗歌具有独特的特征,比如韵律和形式,所以声音隐喻和形式隐喻可在今后的研究中进行探索性分析。
