多元识读教学法在大学英语阅读教学中的应用研究

【摘要】:对于英语学习者而言,阅读的重要性不言而喻。在中国的英语教学研究中,也尤其重视学生阅读能力的培养。随着信息技术的发展和多元文化的互通,多模态的表达形式已经成为生活中的一部分。以语言为主的传统识读方式面临着多元识读的挑战,与此同时传统的阅读教学也应随着时代的发展而发生变化。本文将多元识读教学法应用在大学英语阅读教学中,以改善传统阅读教学不适应时代发展的弊端,从而激发学生的英语阅读兴趣、提高阅读水平。多元识读教学法是一种以教师为主导,学生为主体,侧重整合多种教学资源,如声音、图片及视频等多种模态形式,为学生构建教学情景,旨在培养学生多元识读能力的一种教学方法。本文试图把多元识读教学法应用在大学英语阅读教学中,以回答以下两个研究问题:(1)多元识读教学法对大学生的阅读水平产生什么影响?(2)多元识读教学法对学生的英语阅读兴趣和动机产生什么影响?研究者通过为期四个月的实证研究来回答以上问题。本次研究的实验对象为来自辽宁某大学非英语专业两个平行班的学生,总共60人。采用的研究方法包括测试、问卷调查及访谈。数据结果均由SPSS 17.0统计软件进行分析,用以了解多元识读教学法的有效性。研究结果显示,与传统的英语阅读教学法相比,多元识读教学法指导下的学生英语阅读水平有所提高,但幅度不明显。对学生英语阅读兴趣及动机有显著提高。研究者在文章结尾论述了一些本次实验的若干局限性及对未来教学的启示。
[Abstract]:For English learners, the importance of reading is self-evident. In the research of English teaching in China, special attention is also paid to the cultivation of students' reading ability. With the development of information technology and multiculturalism, multi-modal expression has become a part of life. The traditional reading mode which is mainly language is facing the challenge of multiple reading. At the same time, the traditional reading teaching should change with the development of the times. In this paper, the multiple reading teaching method is applied to college English reading teaching in order to improve the malpractice of traditional reading teaching in order to stimulate students' interest in English reading and improve their reading level. Multivariate reading teaching method is a teacher-led, student-oriented, focusing on the integration of a variety of teaching resources, such as sound, pictures and video, and other modal forms, for students to build a teaching situation. A teaching method designed to cultivate students' pluralistic reading ability. This paper attempts to apply the multivariate reading method to the teaching of college English reading. In order to answer the following two research questions: (1) what is the effect of multivariate reading teaching method on college students' reading level? (2) what effect does multivariate reading teaching method have on students' interest and motivation in English reading? The researchers answered these questions through a four-month empirical study. The subjects of this study were 60 students from two parallel classes of non-English majors in Liaoning Province. The research methods used include tests, questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0 statistical software to understand the validity of multivariate reading teaching method. The results show that, compared with the traditional English reading method, the reading level of the students under the guidance of the multiple reading method is improved, but the extent is not obvious. Students' interest and motivation in English reading have been improved significantly. At the end of the paper, the author discusses some limitations of this experiment and its implications for future teaching.
