[Abstract]:The author chooses the translation project in his master's degree thesis, which is a practical translation project based on "Civilization of East and West and Korea". The book covers a wide range of topics such as history, mythology, tradition, religion, civilization and so on. The book mainly introduces the ideological differences between the East and the West, the role of religion in the formation and development of the country, and the influence of the hidden "civilization" on national policy, social environment and personal fate. Under the guidance of the teacher, the author and Song formed a translation project team to translate the book "Civilization between East and West and Korea". The book is divided into six chapters, Korean characters are more than 200,000 words, there is no Chinese translation. The author is responsible for the translation of the last three chapters. The number of Korean characters is 92591 words and the number of Chinese translation words is 59218 words. This translation practice report consists of introduction, project brief, pre-translation analysis and preparation, case analysis and conclusion. The first part mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the topic. The author hopes that this translation project can help Chinese readers to understand the history, religion and civilization in the eyes of Korean scholars from a new perspective, so as to broaden the scope of reading for Chinese readers. The second part describes the content of the work, the author's education, identity, works and other information. In the last three chapters, Jin Jifeng, Zheng Zhenhong and Quan Jingxiu discuss history, religion and civilization respectively. In the third part, through pre-translation analysis and pre-translation preparation, the author makes an analysis of the text scope, text types, language characteristics and degree of difficulty, which lays a foundation for the work of translation. The fourth part enumerates the existing problems in the process of translation. After combining pre-translation analysis and pre-translation preparation, the author uses translation strategies such as adding words, extending words, interpreting and other translation strategies to focus on the inherent words, idioms, long attributives and so on. Finally, the author summarizes the problems and solutions in the whole translation project. By reading the original text and starting with the translation of the translated text, and then writing this translation practice report, the author really feels how difficult it is to do the "letter, reach, elegance" mentioned in the theoretical book. Translation is not only the work of switching the two languages, but also the meaning of the original text and the information it conveys. In this process, besides the qualities that translators should possess, the application and support of theoretical tools are also essential and very important. Through this translation project the author has benefited a lot and will continue to take this opportunity to broaden his own knowledge and solid translation skills and continue to work hard for the translation of good works. At the same time, if this translation project can provide translation enthusiasts with some inspiration or help, I will also be honored.
