《欧盟海事法最新发展节选报告》中术语的翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本次翻译任务的原文是国际海事委员会官网上发表的《欧盟海事法最新发展节选报告》。该报告内容丰富,涉及面甚广,文中出现了许多术语。要实现将原文准确恰当地翻译出来这一目的,首要前提就是将原文中的术语准确翻译出来。因此,笔者将术语翻译作为这次翻译实践的研究对象,以卡特福德的翻译等值理论为基础,总结了术语翻译的方法。卡氏翻译理论是以文本等值和形式对应为前提的,当形式对应出现分歧时,要采用转换的方法,实现翻译的目的。笔者首先将原文中的术语进行分类,分为海事术语、法律术语、经济术语和环境术语四类。海事术语中,包括缩略语、普通词作海事术语和专门海事术语。法律术语用词严谨规范,涉及普通词作法律术语、法律用语和法律行话。经济术语和环境术语中都涉及普通词作专门术语以及经济或环境术语。针对各类术语的特点,本文作者采用了直译和意译两种策略方法,实现了术语忠实、地道、统一的翻译。术语的翻译是这次翻译实践活动的重点和难点,总结其翻译方法对全文的翻译起着非常重要的作用。因此,研究原文中的术语翻译方法是必要的,也是非常有意义的。
[Abstract]:The original text of this translation is the extract report of the latest Development of European Union Maritime Law published on the website of the International Maritime Commission. The report is rich in content and extensive in scope, and many terms appear in the report. In order to translate the original accurately and properly, the first prerequisite is to translate the terms accurately. Therefore, the author regards term translation as the research object of this translation practice, and summarizes the method of term translation based on Catford's translation equivalence theory. Carson's translation theory is based on the equivalence of the text and the formal correspondence. When there are differences in the formal correspondence, the method of translation should be adopted to achieve the purpose of translation. The author classifies the terms in the original text into four categories: maritime terms, legal terms, economic terms and environmental terms. In maritime terms, including abbreviations, common words as maritime terms and specialized maritime terms. Legal terms are strictly standardized and involve common words as legal terms, legal terms and legal jargon. Economic terms and environmental terms refer to general terms and economic or environmental terms. According to the characteristics of various terms, the author adopts two strategies, literal translation and free translation, to realize the faithful, authentic and unified translation of terms. The translation of terms is the focus and difficulty of this translation practice, and the method of translation plays a very important role in the translation of the full text. Therefore, it is necessary and meaningful to study the translation methods of terms in the original text.
