《上帝的玩笑》（节选）英汉翻译实践报告

【摘要】：《上帝的玩笑》是玛格丽特.劳伦斯的重要作品之一。1966年问世的《上帝的玩笑》讲述的是三十四岁的单身小学教师雷切尔·卡梅隆困在自我的牢笼中的故事。然而纵观以往对其作品的研究,笔者发现国内译界对这部小说的翻译研究很少。本文从比利时语用学家杰夫.维索尔伦提出的顺应论的视角,以笔者对玛格丽特.劳伦斯的小说《上帝的玩笑》的翻译探讨案例翻译中所用的翻译方法,并做相关报告。顺应论的核心在于强调语言使用是一个动态顺应的过程,它的四个研究维度是:顺应的语境相关因素;顺应的结构对象;顺应的动态过程;顺应的意识突显度。这四个方面能够很好地联系了语言使用过程中的语言、社会、文化和认知因素,这四个方面也正是小说翻译中所涉及的几类因素。因此该理论可以用来指导对《上帝的玩笑》的翻译研究。本文试图利用顺应论为理论基础,从词语、句法和超句法三个层面结合常见的翻译方法如分译法、词类装换法等,来研究译者在整个翻译过程中是如何顺应各种因素做出最终选择的,并发现,顺应论对文学翻译研究具有较强的可操作性和指导性,能够使译文更为流畅、忠实于原文。
[Abstract]:The joke of God is Margaret. The joke of God, published in 1966, tells the story of Rachel Cameron, a single elementary school teacher at the age of 34, trapped in his own cage. However, looking at the previous studies on his works, the author finds that there are few studies on the translation of the novel in domestic translation circles. This paper is based on the Belgian pragmatist Jeff. From the point of view of adaptation theory proposed by Visorun, the author analyzes Marguerite. The translation of Lawrence's novel the joke of God explores the translation methods used in case translation and makes relevant reports. The core of adaptation theory is to emphasize that language use is a process of dynamic adaptation. Its four dimensions are: context-related factors of adaptation, structural objects of adaptation, dynamic process of adaptation and awareness salience of adaptation. These four aspects can well relate the linguistic, social, cultural and cognitive factors in the process of language use. These four aspects are also some of the factors involved in the translation of novels. Therefore, this theory can be used to guide the translation study of God's joke. Based on the theory of adaptation, this paper attempts to combine the three levels of word, syntax and hyper-syntax with common translation methods, such as sub-translation, part-of-speech replacement and so on. It is found that adaptation theory has a strong maneuverability and guidance in the study of literary translation and can make the translation more fluent and faithful to the original text.
