《黑夜知道》（1-7章）英汉翻译实践报告

这是一篇英汉翻译报告。笔者基于《黑夜知道》(第1-7章)的翻译实践撰写了该论文。这是美国惊悚小说大师迪恩·孔茨所作的一本惊悚小说,它讲述了侦破连环谋杀案的整个过程。原文包含了大量的对话、环境描写和人物描写,因此译者在翻译时特别需要特别注意保留原文中怀疑和紧张的感觉。在翻译过程中,由于英汉两种语言间的差异和对相关的西方文化知识的缺乏,译者遇到了许多实际上的困难。因此,该翻译报告的目的就是分析翻译中遇到的困难和相应的翻译方法。这些问题分为三类,分别是词汇难点,句法难点和篇章难点。前者包含了文化负载词、武器和装备的术语、词性和多义词的翻译难点。译者采用了添加脚注、添加插图和脚注、词性转换和词义引申等方法解决词汇方面的问题。句法难点包括语义理解困难的句子和直接引语的口语化表达,译者采用了拆分和省略的翻译方法。拟声词和四字结构的运用以及改译法解决了语篇方面遇到的困难,包括悬念气氛和人物描写的翻译。通过这一翻译实践,译者发现不同的翻译可以在表达效果和读者的反应上带来很大的差别。因此,在翻译过程中,译者应始终注意译文与原文的对等程度。译者要根据小说的气氛,尽量保留原文恐怖和悬疑的效果,并选择适当的表达方式,然后深入研究原文的细节,采取适当的翻译策略。
