《字里中国》（第一章）汉英翻译报告

　　本文是一篇汉英翻译实践报告。原文选自张素凤、宋春淑、娜红所著的《字里中国》,该书于2017年出版于中华书局。目前,尚未发现该书的英文版本。译者选取第一章进行汉英翻译,原文共10,242字。所选部分主要从汉字的角度描述了古代中国的社会等级制度。在本翻译报告中,译者分析了在翻译过程中遇到的主要困难,并举例说明了相应的翻译方法。针对古代官名,译者采用了语义加注音（semantic&phonetic notation）的翻译方法。针对文化负载词和汉语四字成语,译者分别采用了音译加注（annotated transliteration）和释义（explanation）的方法。同时,译者采用删减重组（reframing discourses）的方法处理原文本中的流水句。汉字是中国文化的重要组成部分。在忠实于原文的基础上,译者希望能帮助目标语读者深入了解汉字所承载的中国文化,进而推动中国文化走向世界。
